When her birthday came around, my grandmother would say that she was tired of telling everyone she was 39 every year, so this year she would change things. She would say she is 38.

My theory (if I were so inclined to lie about such things, which by the way, I am not
and have no qualms about telling people how old I am :D) is that I should start telling
people I am ten years older than I really am so that people will think I look absolutely
fabulous for my age. Which I do anyways haha. But funny how they always add that.
That. You know. "For your age." :p

Last night, my workplace had its celebratory 50th anniversary birthday party marking
half a century of being in business. We invited many past employees and clients, and
may have had around one hundred attendees :) There were two tables laden with two
rows of large pans of Chinese food (including a whole roasted pig chopped up by my
boss's father) plus six huge boxes of the most ginormous sushi I have ever seen in
my life, and a couple of trays of cheese and cold cuts. We have leftovers LOL.

I have worked there for thirty four years

Sounds like fun! What do they give you at 34 years? A pen set? ;)

I'm getting together with an old friend tomorrow. He's going to finally meet my Husband. He travels a lot so I don't see him often, I get to see his adventures on Facebook and that's always nice. But seeing him in person will be much better.

She kept this up through her eighties when she passed.

lol, I have the opposite problem. I was told that the transplant was like a second birthday. If that is the case, I might as well add the Spiritual birthday in there as well and in that case I would be 40 right now. I could really have some fun with this. :p

I tried eating one and could not even finish it. Milk chocolate coins are just
a decoration that should not be consumed :D I will give the others away :)

Your Grandma sounds like she was a lot of fun, like mine was. My Grandma was funny without even knowing she was funny, that's what made her so funny.

She spent her last three or four years living in a retirement home. She had dementia so we didn't have much choice. It was a cool old house in a small town in Upstate New York. It was a homey nice place, but it wasn't where she wanted to be. One time when I was visiting her, she was having a good day, mental clarity wise. I'm sitting on the porch with my 89 year old Grandma and she says, I hate this place. I asked, why? Because Jenny all the other people here are so old, what am I going to talk about with them?, lol. I had to hold in my laughter.

Oh those, yuck! My kid's love them. They're gross. We have a candy store in my town, they make awesome chocolate, now I would eat theirs, but the cheap ones are disgusting.

I just got to work and pulled the sushi out of the fridge and chowed down. Then others (including my boss) came along and decided we needed to deal with the left overs right away, so everyone got containers and some just look a pan or two and filled up on what they wanted, some enough for full dinners for their family. I really like rice noodles, and though beef can sometimes cause trouble for me, it was melt-in-your-mouth good, so I took some more of it as well as a bit of baby eggplant and mushrooms and carrots and yellow pepper, some other noodley thing, and a few more pieces of sushi for dinner. I had already prepared my lunch from the leftovers before I went home last night. The kitchen is a hive of activity right now haha but I have made coffee and am just preparing to start my day at my work station :D I actually have some work to do today so we shall see how much of it I get through :D

Have a great day all :):):)

The profane trolling and spamming that was strewn across the forums very early this morning disturbed me greatly. I can't fathom how someone's mind conjures such images or words, let alone shares them. Maybe it's just the prudish nature I have, but *shiver*...gross.

There is someone blatantly blaspheming against the Holy Ghost on several Bible Discussion Forum threads. He is spreading his anti-Christian religion on post after post thru out the site and saying the Holy Spirit is not who God sent to us, but instead sent us a human man. He is taking advantage of the opportunity to propagate his blasphemous beliefs against the Holy Spirit because some members are actually trying to reason with him in vain. He has no intention of submitting to Christ but keeps responding with his blasphemous doctrine. He's stringing members along day after day in as many posts as he can to spread his religious doctrine throughout the forums.

It's actually making me sick seeing his false religion posted all over the place. I've reported him over & over for two days now. It's like he's taking over the website. I don't understand why he is still here.
