I have been a vegetarian for almost 4 years, I am considering going fully vegan and then maybe fully raw. Anyone else any of these diets?

Since my cancer I have been trying to stay away from meat. My meals consist of mostly veggies and a little chicken or turkey.

I'm a vegan, you couldn't do anything better for yourself, apart from your belief in God to be a vegan, greatest move for the mind, body and spirit!

i dont know if im allowed to quote or doing thi s properly but A CC user josephs dreams said this in the misc forum

"For raw, and/or vegan, while not necessary, a good blender, a dehydrator, a food processor and coffee grinder, and a steamer go a long way. As far as ingredients, it is really just a matter of substituting any processed foods and animal products/foods with unprocessed and vegan alternatives. In most cases they are excellent substitutes available.
Some of it can really be tasty. And the upside is that on a diet like that, it is near impossible to can weight, and usually a person's skin, no matter how bad or good it was before, improves quite a bit. Also, usually energy levels improve, as well as clarity of thought and a more sensitive spirit"

He points out some points like : x the method what equipment youll need
X substitution (thats good cause cheap veggie patties are gross)
x And health benefits- skin ! - great

I have tried going veg but have suffered numerous headaches and fatigue as a consequence. No matter how I try to mix vegetable/grain/fruit protein, it just doesn't work for me. But if it works for you, fine - go for it. :)

You were detoxing. It will work for you, if you give it time allow it to rub its course.
Be as tenacious with your diet and health as you are debating with me about how terrible Trump is at the news forum thread.
It will benefit you more then any satisfaction you get from trying to prove me wrong in the news forum, and maybe we will actually be able to agree on something.

the fact that u have an organic garden is a big plus. plus, nuts, seeds n other dried fruits, etc are available where u live. here our nuts are mostly peanuts, pili, cashew n imported kinds. pumpkin n sunflower seeds mostly unshelled, so we shell them one by one-) if we want to eat that..or order online/abroad wen finances allow. however even holistic doc here says the young/growing wud do well with some meat sources, tho not much for some macronutrients, amino acids ..are easier to get from some meats, wc older ppl i think need to a lesser degree.

It has been incredibly easy to defeat you in every debate. But it was just impossible to fight off the headaches that I got from trying to go veg. It just didn't work.

Anyways, I've lived into my 60s eating lots of meat filled dishes. So I'll continue with this diet. :)

Well, we seem to have different ideas about how our debates turn out, but that's cool.
More important, how is your current health?
If it is good now, then God bless you. It has been my experience that people who follow a conventional American diet and lifestyle begin to physically break down generally in their mid fifties and onward.
If it has not happened to you yet, a good chance to will in the next 5 years or so.
Yet another citizen draining the health care system of taxes I pay into because they refuse to take care of themselves and in the mean time I cost the system practically nothing.
Thank you Hillary socialism supporter.
Not that I don't want to help those who need it. I do. I like to see a more even distribution of wealth.
But you know the old saying, feed a man, he will come back to you for more food the next day. Teach him to fish, he will sustain himself for life.
Don't worry though, if you change your ways, and you need guidance on your new path, I am here for you.

Don't know that we need to politicize this thread but thank you just the same.

I eat very well and do a small amount of yoga exercises (particularly mudras as I discussed previously). All of my dishes contain a good amount of veggies as gourmet cooking is my hobby (that and defeating right wingers on web forums). :)

As for socialism, Trump is the bigger socialist than Hillary since he has gone into bankruptcy court five times and has been bailed out by taxpayers - just a welfare recipient. ;)
