with all gentleness, I say that I think you are attempting to re-direct and avoid this question:

Does the Bible say anything about fulfilling God's commandments?

possible answers are Yes, and here are some examples,

or No.
No Sir ! YOU turned it from scripture I gave to your own opinion. Simple instructions are to 'keep the commandments.

As Jesus said, "you do error, not knowing the scriptures." The things in the Law of God(10 commandments) will never not be sins. It'll always be a sin to break these commands. We are free from the Law of Moses. ( laws governing the Jewish nation) And we are bound to the Law of Christ. ( the Law of Love) 2 Corinthians9. KISS, Keep It Simple Saint !??????

[is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight [is] in the law of YHVH; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law. The Law was a mere shadow of the real substance which is Christ Himself.

Whenever you see "law" in the OT - put in Christ and then you will have the New Covenant perspective of the word of God.

The true Christian has died to the Law SO THAT they could be joined to another - Jesus Christ - going back to the Law for living is committing spiritual adultery on the Lord Jesus Christ. We live by His life in us now not by Old Covenant laws which Christ has already fulfilled.

adultery-3.jpg

In the New Covenant it is all about Christ . This is where the "law-keepers" greatly err by always leaving out Christ and promoting the Law for living instead of complete reliance on Christ.

This is why their belief system is anti-Christ at it's core although it has an "appearance" of being godly because of the use of the Old Covenant Laws.

Paul said that in the last days people would be "anti-Christ" - not "anti-God".

In the New Covenant - this is what we meditate and dwell on - Christ Himself. He is our life - not the Law.

Colossians 3:16 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

the question isn't does the Bible say to keep God's commandments. The question is,

"Does the Bible say anything about fulfilling God's commandments?"

Here's one answer: Yes, "14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”"

It's only different because God Himself made it different. I'm not willing to tell God that something He made holy isn't holy anymore.

At creation, God sactified the sabbath by resting on it.

When God incarnated as Jesus, he worked on the sabbath, and said doing good work is encouraged on the sabbath, as it is everyday.

is the sabbath still holy? Yes! For the Christian, everyday is holy, because we do holy works on it.

Yes, that's the law of Christ, the law of law of Love in 1 John. Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength and the second also is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. (Jesus)

One thing that I think we forget. It's context is in the same list as idolatry, adultery, blasphemy, lying, etc... so if recognizing the sabbath is null and void then the others would be too. And that definitely ain't gonna fly with our God!

When we know HOW to love our neighbour correctly we will be fulfilling the law.....and unless GOD tells us how we do not know, we will just go by our opinions.
Are you saying that is the right way ? It always get's back to 'keeping the Commandments ....whichever way you turn the questions !

Look at the world today....NO law - NO peace ! and that is what some of you are guilty of !

Seems you can't stop 'meddling with God's Word, adding your own 2 cents....as if God were incompetent !
God says the Sabbath day is holy and no other weekday...let's see you keep that one day the way GOD wants you to. When you can do that then you will at least have made a start !

Much of God's Word is read and do. Not difficult. If we would, instead of trying to figure out what we can get away with, we'd be in much better shape and peace.

No, we have the Spirit to guide us.

Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

14 Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

17 Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.

when you live that way, there are no profane days.

Did you receive salvation through the Law?

Did you receive eternal forgiveness by Jesus' blood through the Law?

Did you receive the gift of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit by the Law?

Did you receive power over sin by the Law or by Jesus and the Holy Spirit?

Did you receive God's grace by the Law?

Did you obtain your resurrection to God in heaven through the Law?

You have all these in Jesus without the Law!!!!!!!

-------------------

The Law/OT is a road map/teacher to bring us home to Jesus,

Once we are home, in Him, in His Holy Spirit,

We can throw the map away,

We don't need it anymore.

In the Word there is The Sabbath and the Law of Moses has Sabbaths. Sabbaths is what we're free from. We are not free from "not using the Lord's name," having other gods, etc.. The sabbaths in the Law of Moses, along with feast days and ceremonies has been wiped away.

But the Law of God, Jesus said not one jot or tittle would be wiped away. In fact if you teach men otherwise, Jesus said that you be called least in the kingdom of God.

We must understand the difference in these laws. Whether it's Saturday or Sunday or Monday doesn't matter as long as you keep it. We imitate the Lord this way. If that's not good enough, it's just wise living.

Obedience is not legalism.

In Leviticus 23, God, you know, the Almighty Creator, calls the Feast days His very own.

a challenge - show me any verse that says God's appointed times are wiped away.

I would encourage you to read the whole Bible in context. The Jewish Law mandated Saturday. The seventh day from where the first is. V demanding Saturday is legalism. Don't forget, the law was just the schoolmaster to tutor us to grace. Don't forget about God's grace in your stand. Because like so many, you have the two laws confused. If you fail to factor Gods grace in, you've completely missed His heart on the matter.
In Colossians it says that thru Christ, wiped away the handwriting of requirements of the law that were against us. Again the whole Bible there, Gung Ho!

Bingo, We're not Jews under the law. We have been liberated from the Law that we couldn't keep. Acts15. The Apostles deal with this, if you read that, you can be done with this.
