I simply tried to indicate that it is the Sabbath the Jews tried to observe. Anyhow I admit that I don't reckon the importance of observing the Sabbath today as Jews shall do before. In the past 2000 years how many saved Christians actually seriously observed the Sabbath? I believe that this is foreseen 2000 year back thus Jesus didn't mention it in His teaching of the commandments.

In contrary, in the past 2000 years how many saved Christians actively attended gatherings such as our Sunday services?
then perhaps a little more clarity might have helped....thanks .

well... not if you break a commandment. We are all breaking the whole law because, for example, there is no levitical preist that we can show our moldy jacket to.

realizing that the entire law is being broken all the time, the Christian rejoices to read

14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
that's always been a bit of a mystery....HOW do we love ourselves ?

So you MUST perform the ritual of not working on the Sabbath perfectly in order not to sin,

You cannot do it!
Why must everything always be done 'perfectly ? Scripture does not say that.

Since we are only disciples/learners or apprentices God no way demands perfection from the word GO !
Don't you know it takes time to reach perfection....so stop make us feel guilty !

Agree with the first (partly).... any scripture for the second statement ?
Romans 8: 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

Romans 13

The one who loves their neighbor has fulfilled the law.

9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

10 Love doesn’t harm a neighbor.

Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.

also,

Love your neighbor
isn't a set of rules. When we try to make a set of rules to follow, we end up "under the rules" again.

It is a direction, it requires the leading of the Spirit.

direction, leading

IF you are led by the Spirit, you will obey God.
exactly! and since you won't be under law, obeying God will be accomplished by the spirit leading you in the direction of loving your neighbor.

loving the neighbor is for sure included in God's commandments.
however, don't forget, we have to love God also.
how is our love for God manifest? by what we say only? no, of course not, by demonstrating our love for Him by obeying Him. (including His appointed times!!)

loving God is fulfilled by loving your neighbor. Your neighbor is created in the image of God. When you love them, you are loving God.

This is not 'specific to a 'Christian...as you said it 'applied to !
Just 'using the 'name of Christ is meaningless if we don't live like Jesus Ex 20v7 according to scripture.

Dan, make up your mind ! You quote from the law yet say there is no law.
Can you not see that only by the law you can 'love your neighbour ? What else are you going to use as a 'benchmark....your own opinion ?

It is written in your heart and is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. God made it law for an example as they did not have the Holy Spirit. Therefore, He made law. Now, that the Holy Spirit has been given, the law has been fulfilled as it is in our hearts to be kind to our neighbors. It's a given and not a law. There are only 3 laws in the NT church. The law of sin. the law of Christ, and the law of the Spirit.

It isn't one against the other. The Law is Holy and God is Holy so they might be on the same side.
Can there be a law and a spirit that leads and guides us to obey the law, even better a Spirit that writes the law on our hearts and minds?

when Jesus was around the Pharisees they wanted to find fault and accused Him of law breaking because the messiah would not be a law breaker. Any accusations against Jesus as a law breaker or a law changer or of Jesus teaching that it isn't important was met with this statement.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Does this apply today?

How do we know what is right and wrong?
Should we just trust what we think is the Holy Spirit?
Luk_9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
1Jn_4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1Jn_3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

How do we know which is the Spirit of God? By the word of God and the Commandments of God.

I quite agree, but does the HS tell you something different than what is written on stone or paper ?
If it does you will be confused.
The law is the same commandment with 'love as a 'spoonful of sugar to help us take it . A spoonful of sugar without the Medicine/law is not helping our sinful condition !
Are you prepared to listen to reason ?

Love/Grace and law go together ! They help us to walk correctly with God in tandem....
not jump or hobble along on one leg like a handicapped/injured person. Remember we are a sick, suffering Creature that needs to be HEALED. Let GOD/Christ do it THEIR way !

This is very true !!!
sadly too many ASSUME they follow the right 'Spirit because they call themselves 'Christian. UNLESS they have a 'burning desire to live and do like Jesus they are using His name 'in vain.
