Love/Grace and law go together ! They help us to walk correctly with God in tandem....
not jump or hobble along on one leg like a handicapped/injured person. Remember we are a sick, suffering Creature that needs to be HEALED. Let GOD/Christ do it THEIR way !
I Struggled for a while trying to work out how the Law and obedience can balance with faith and grace. It wasn't until i realised that it isn't about balance or that one was against the other. By faith in Jesus alone we are saved and this results in Love which results in obedience. The law is a delight because you love Jesus.

loving God is fulfilled by loving your neighbor. Your neighbor is created in the image of God. When you love them, you are loving God.

40 “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters , you did it to me.’
odd. in one post, you just wiped out what the Messiah says is the most important commandment of all.
Maybe you need to read your Bible.

Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law? Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love YHVH thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:36-37 (KJV, MBM)

loving the neighbor is for sure included in God's commandments.
however, don't forget, we have to love God also.
how is our love for God manifest? by what we say only? no, of course not, by demonstrating our love for Him by obeying Him. (including His appointed times!!)
Gal 5:1, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

5:4, "Christ is become no effect to you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."

The law of God is liberty my friend, not bondage at all.
How do you see the law of God as bondage?

I'm just quoting Paul,

He says that the law is bondage.
The Scribes and Pharisees added thousands of laws to the law of God.
This is what Paul refers to.
The law of God is liberty, according to Scripture.

In the context of the Gal passage, he is talking about circumcision, a law given by God. Not the ones given by men.

if you will study out the context, circumcision is a "sign" given to Abraham.
The "sign" of the Holy Spirit was given later to represent the same thing. It is a "sign" that says this person is a representative of God. It is also called "circumcision of the heart".
Again, if you study out the context, even that commandment is kept, but in a new way.

Do not let "law-keepers" make the grace of Christ of no effect in your lives.

Galatians 5:2-4 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Behold I, Paul, say to you
that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you.

[SUP]3 [/SUP] And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Galatians 6:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

You are a new creation in Christ - created in righteousness and holiness. You have died to the Law
SO THAT you could be joined to another - Jesus Himself. His life and Spirit is what we live by now.

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Colossians 2:11 (KJV, MBM)

we will let Scripture do the talking, not your theology babble.

I agree with the spiritual circumcision where the flesh is cut away from our inner man in Christ - also called the circumcision of the heart or of Christ. This is done by the Holy Spirit when we are sealed in Christ when we believe in Christ's work of complete salvation.

What is anti-Christ is telling gentiles that they need to be circumcised as to the requirements of the Law or do any of the Law for living. Real Christians have died to the Law SO THAT they could be joined to Christ now.

The real Christian has nothing to do with the Law now but to see that Jesus fulfilled it and that we are in Him. His life is how the true Christian lives now - not be "law-keeping".

Real Christians do obey God in the New Covenant and His commandments are not burdensome as John says in 1 John 5:3.

John before that told us exactly what the commandments of God are in the New Covenant.

1 John 3:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment,
that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

Paul who knew the law better then anyone had this to say about the purpose of the law.

The purpose of the law was :

1) To reveal our sinful state. Rom 3:20

2) To inflame sin Rom 7:8

3) To minister death in us Rom 7:10-11

4) To lead us to Christ Gal 3:24

The law is good, holy and spiritual but we are in the flesh. Jesus fulfilled all the law! When we read the law we should be seeing Jesus in it. Jesus did not save us so that we could go back to the law.

But the purpose of the law was not for righteousness or salvation at all, it was to manifest sin in our lives, so that the purpose of grace which is in Jesus is to manifest salvation. Grace does not set aside the law, but completely satisfied it.

The Law has already been fulfilled and the real Christian has died to the Law. Romans 7:1-6.

Law-keeping for living now is anti-Christ. Remember Paul said in the last days people would be anti-Christ - NOT anti-God. law keepers are all for God but in fact deny the work of the Lord Jesus Christ which is why this religion is anti-Christ in it's beliefs.

Come to Christ disciplemike and stop your own efforts to establish and maintain righteousness by your law-keeping. Read very carefully Romans 10:1-3

This is not 'specific to a 'Christian...as you said it 'applied to !
Just 'using the 'name of Christ is meaningless if we don't live like Jesus Ex 20v7 according to scripture.
I don't understand what you wrote...

I thought you wanted verses about Christians having the Spirit inside of them?

hogwash.
I am saved by faith in Messiah and I will obey Him.
If you teach different, it is lies.

Dan, make up your mind ! You quote from the law yet say there is no law.
Can you not see that only by the law you can 'love your neighbour ? What else are you going to use as a 'benchmark....your own opinion ?
Quoting from the law is great! It's all part of God's word.

In this case, I quoted Paul quoting the law.

I believe you'd asked how we love ourselves. I think the answer is in this passage, we don't harm ourselves (unless we're insane).

Jesus showed his love for his neighbor by healing her on the sabbath. Healing is a work. The letter of the law says no work may be done on the Sabbath.

I quite agree, but does the HS tell you something different than what is written on stone or paper ?
Yes! that's why we have the idea of the spirit of the law and the letter of the law.

If it does you will be confused.
If you try to mix being led by the Spirit and following your own understanding of the law, then you will be confused.

"Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?"

I didn't wipe out anything.

Loving God is the greatest commandment. Loving your neighbor fulfills all the commandments.
