But you are teaching just the opposite of this statement,
You say that you DO need a law written in stone.

So what about the fourth commandment?

I said that? you may have to show me. I don't remember.
I do say, as believers, we should obey the King. Yes sir, all day long.
let's see if I'm following what you're saying...
if you love your neighbor, the ten commandments are fulfilled.
How do you love your neighbor? that's explained in the ten commandments
by keeping the ten commandments, we love our neighbor, which fulfills the ten commandments.
but this can be shortened to "keeping the ten commandments fulfills the ten commandments."
yes?
sounds like you feel Love your neighbor doesn't fulfill all the commandments?
what goes through your mind when you read
14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

The Commandments were spoken out loud by God to the people and then written by His own finger on the tablets. Those were then placed INSIDE the Ark.
The Law was written by Moses' own handwriting and placed OUTSIDE the Ark.
Seems pretty simple to me. The Commandments are eternal, but the Law was nailed to the Cross (what Paul called "the handwriting of ordinances that were against us".
Manna was in the Ark too...does that mean that manna is eternal?...or is the rod of Aaron now eternal too?
Certainly all would agree that these 3 things that were in the Ark had meanings that had to do with God's dealings with man-kind - especially to do with the Law.
The mercy seat covered all these things and it was here that the blood of Jesus was sprinkled for our redemption from all the things that were in the Ark and what they symbolized.

Please give the scripture that tells us that Jesus' blood was sprinkled on the Mercy Seat. I'm not arguing with you - I really want to know.
There is scripture that talks about a heavenly temple not made with hands - a kind of duplicate of what was made on earth - where Christ entered and did the same in this heavenly tabernacle as the high priest does for the mercy seat on earth when the temple was still going.
Hebrews 9:11-14 (NASB)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation;
[SUP]12 [/SUP] and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. ( this is where the earthly high priest sprinkled the blood of bulls )
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh,
[SUP]14 [/SUP] how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
this video might help you understand...

So you believe that Hebrews is saying that the Lord went to heavenly Tabernacle and bled upon the mercy seat of the Ark?
I believe being crucified on Earth was the "final" sacrifice and only letting of His blood.

Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath as the Son of Man.
Have you not read where David and his men went into the temple and ate of the showbread and broke the law of Moses that only the priests were to eat? Why? - Because they were in the temple.
We too as Christians are in the temple of Christ Himself now.
Matthew 12:1-8 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."
[SUP]3 [/SUP] But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions,
[SUP]4 [/SUP] how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone?
[SUP]5 [/SUP] "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent?
[SUP]6 [/SUP] "But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here. ( Jesus said - tear down this temple and I will build it back up. He is the true temple of God.)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] "But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
The priest break the Sabbath because they are in the temple and spiritually we too are in the temple of God through Christ Himself - so we are exempt from the law of Moses's sabbath keeping.
True Christians are in Christ now joined as one and we are the temple of God ( 1 Cor. 3:16).
Jesus is our Sabbath rest now when we enter into His rest and we too rest from our own works to rest in what Christ has accomplished!
This trying to observe the Sabbath by the flesh is not from Christ and in fact are missing out on the real purpose of the Sabbath. The Sabbath in the Law is a shadow of the real substance which is Christ Himself.

This is a good teaching to help explain the Sabbath as it relates to us today:

Today we are being duped by those who want to return to the old days when the Law was in effect. Today we are under Grace, not under the Laws made up by the Pharisees.
How can you say we are to keep the Law when the Pharisees had mixed their man made Laws into the Laws from God?
You need to give us a complete list of all the Laws you claim we need to keep. But i'll bet you will not do it because it will expose the truth that you are trying to keep man made Laws also.

I agree...law-keepers have a very low respect for the Law. They need to water it down to "appear" to be do-able. They in fact break the Law every day and then they try to get Christians to desert Christ to follow the Law. Gal.1:6
James says that if we break one law - we are guilty of breaking it all.
They try to slice up the Law to make it "do-able" but Paul says that we are debtors to the whole Law if we try to live by it.
Law-keeping is an anti-Christ belief religion which denies the Lord Jesus Christ and His work on the cross and resurrection.
I am not here to give you a list brother.
If you find me keeping a man-made law, then I need to correct myself.
I came out of a system full of man-made traditions. I don't want that again.

Nobody was talking about man made laws put in place by the Pharisees. We were discussing the Mosaic Law
found in the Pentateuch. Are you even paying attention?
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.1 John 5:3 (ESV2011, MBM)

Again you do not know what God's commandments are in the New Covenant. as you are trying to make this scripture in 1 John 5:3 to say it is talking about the Law of Moses.
I'll give them to you again as John tells us exactly what they are in his same letter and they are NOT burdensome.
The Old Covenant is a goner and is obsolete and we live in the New Covenant now. Come join us Christians.
1 John 3:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
