Everyone has their take on what this scripture means or what that scripture does not mean.
Anyway I have enjoyed the conversations. Good night.

You misrepresent the Word of God. I am adverse to that.
Reject a divisive man after a first and second admonition, 11knowing that such a man is corrupt and sinful; he is self-condemned

Titus 3:10,11

You cannot honestly say that a Scripture telling a brother to marry his deceased brother's wife is promoting polygamy when the surviving brother's marital status is not even mentioned. Good night.

Just go read your Bible like a child with an open heart. If you sincerely believe what you say in your posts, youhave a problem ONLY God's word can fix! The Bible means what it says, youdont have to interpret it. You take it or leave it as is.
John 3--- they dont come to the light lest they be exposed.

A diploma from bible collage vs. the holy spirits voice un giving us understanding is like a house of rotten wood being crashed by waves of the powerful ocean vs one of stone you cannot compare it a diploma is nothing compared to the holy spirit
It really shouldn't be one or the other. One can go to Bible college and be led by Holy Spirit. That said, with the state of Bible colleges today (most of them seem to be very liberal), you're better off (n most cases) not going to Bible college.

As there is only one true, living God, there's only one true way to interpret the Bible. That doesn't mean God doesn't highlight different things to each of us. It just means that Scripture always interprets Scripture and that God never contradicts His Word.

So, the man doesn't commit adultery?

Interesting how Jesus said that if a man lusts after a woman, he already committed adultery.

Ah but a man with multiple partners is ok. But if a woman has multiple partners, she's a whore. Right. Ok.
A man of course are able to commit adultery. Relation with a married woman.

How do you think a man lust after a woman back then when woman wears robe that covered the whole body. Compare the lust of today?

That is why the question is direct. What law did they break by having many wives?

Both posts that I have made declare that. You can go back to Genesis and read all the way to Revelation. You will find scripture after scripture with instruction on how to treat and live with your"wife."
Not to mention the confusion it causes the children amd those around . The Bible say not to give the appearance of evil. Everything about polygamy appears twisted and perverse.
Tell that to the patriarch. Almost all of them have multiple wives,
Abraham,
Jacob,
David
Solomon

and God didnt call them perverse or twisted but instead G od loved them

How about the unwritten command of common sense? God said that man must "cleave to his wife" and become ONE flesh. What part of one is it that you don't understand?
Unwritten command of common sense? Well thats a vast amount of command. That is why the question was only to the written Law.

There is n o question about being one. Ex
man married wife 1 , they become one
man married wife 2, they become one
man married wife 3, they become one.

What part of becoming one you are talking about.

You conveniently forgot to address the part of my response that said you keep starting threads with a controversial question of which you evidently are already convinced you knows the answer. Why do you keep stirring up debates, something we are told in the Word not to do:

Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain
.

You lure people in with your foolish questions about the law only to contend with them as if your interpretation is the correct one.
I specifically did no t res po nd to it. Seeing you are not following Pauls Order of avoiding. Obviously you are here not avoiding it.
Having said that this is not a debate but a simple question. What written law did did they break? As simple as that. If you have answer just post it.

What an odd question. All of Him. 100%.
Are you aware that God does not give everyone the same measure of the Holy Spirit?
You can read here that Jesus had the Holy Spirit without measure.

John 3:34
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

I will have to disagree that you have Holy Spirit without measure as Jesus was given by God.

I can honestly say I do not agree with you on much of anything you have said to me on this thread.
I hope your are not too offended that I do not consider you an authority on the scriptures. If you are I am sorry I have caused you any temptation of discontent for me due to my honesty of my beliefs.

I feel exhausted just thinking about it. I wonder why he had three hundred concubines, why not just have a thousand wives . He must have had an addiction to wedding cake.

Look on the bright side, he was never short of cooks and house keepers. :p

it is as a still small whisper to your heart or a small voice in the wind to hear his voice you must be still and your mind and heart must be as still waters. his voice (sounds) different to different people but the outcome of his voice is always the same he reveals the deep and hidden secrets of the word of God's heart and kingdom he encourages us he teaches us he uses the word of God to show us the very heart of God himself he shows God's traits his nature his ways of seeing ways of thinking ways of being he speaks to those of a childs heart one that open and willing one that deeply loves and adores father and he gives strength with his voice alone when we are beaten and broken he comforts us with his voice alone when we are alone and in despair he gives us warmth in our hearts when our hearts are cold.

His voice is not just in the word it's everywhere and in every day things we only have to know how to listen
Some people do need zapping though - Paul
