If you're insulted by truth, that's your problem. I have posted such verses, you're not interested in aligning your beliefs with God's word
No I am not insulted in anyway. You are attacking with insult but in no way you have the truth about this subject.

"[A king] must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold."

Dt 17:17

No, this is not forbidding to have more than one wife. Like it is not saying you must not have more than one gold coin. It only says king should not have too many/much of it.
Wrong! You can't show me any good fruit to that. 1 kings 11:3,4 are evidenceof that

"He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray."
1Kings 3:4

Its only a description of what happened when the king took too many wives. It is not a command to have only one wife. Even one wife can lead you astray or destroy you and your morality, faith and life.

Read proverbs five. It clearly says to be faithful to the wife of your youth. That means, no polygamy. It calls such evil, wicked, undisciplined sin. Yes, it calls it sin. And guess who wrote proverbs. Yeah. That guy. The one with seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines. He tells us that it is a sin.

There is also Malachi 2:15.

Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.

Was this post addressed to me?

If so:

"May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth."
Proverbs 5:18

I have looked into NIV, ESV, KJV, NASB a HSCB. None of them has it like you said...

It is addressed to the OP. Proverbs five is all about fidelity, remaining faithful to the wife of your youth. One does need to assume that would be one's first wife. That means polygamy is called a sin, and referred to as being evil, wicked, undisciplined folly.

Here is the last part of the chapter.

may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be intoxicated with her love.
Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife?
Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?

For your ways are in full view of the Lord,
and he examines all your paths.
The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them;
the cords of their sins hold them fast.
For lack of discipline they will die,
led astray by their own great folly.

Ok, so you probably wanted to post Malachi, not Proverbs.

It seems translations differ in this word, so I looked up the Hebrew:

acted deceitfully (1), acted treacherously (2), betrayed (1), betrays (1), deal (1), deal treacherously (10), deal very treacherously (1), deals treacherously (1), dealt treacherously (8), dealt very treacherously (1), faithless (2), treacherous (15), treacherous one still deals treacherously (1), treacherous deal (1), treacherously (1), unfairness (1).

From the context I think its about "faithfulness" in her old years, to take care about her even when she does not look good anymore. If you think it is about not taking another wife, can you show why do you think so?

No, I wanted to post both, and I did. It plainly says to delight only in her, the wife of your youth. Not to take to the bosom of another woman. How blind do people need to be to think this is an endorsement of polygamy?

It is not the last part of the chapter, the last part is:

"Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man's wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?..." etc.

So what is Proverbs 5 forbidding is the wife of another man, imho.

And wayward women. They need not be one and the same.

We are not blind, we just dont accept your version of verses... for example, there is no word "only".

Here is the whole of Prov 5. It ends as I said the first time.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom,
turn your ear to my words of insight,
2 that you may maintain discretion
and your lips may preserve knowledge.
3 For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey,
and her speech is smoother than oil;
4 but in the end she is bitter as gall,
sharp as a double-edged sword.
5 Her feet go down to death;
her steps lead straight to the grave.
6 She gives no thought to the way of life;
her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it.

7 Now then, my sons, listen to me;
do not turn aside from what I say.
8 Keep to a path far from her,
do not go near the door of her house,
9 lest you lose your honor to others
and your dignity[a] to one who is cruel,
10 lest strangers feast on your wealth
and your toil enrich the house of another.
11 At the end of your life you will groan,
when your flesh and body are spent.
12 You will say, “How I hated discipline!
How my heart spurned correction!
13 I would not obey my teachers
or turn my ear to my instructors.
14 And I was soon in serious trouble
in the assembly of God’s people.”

15 Drink water from your own cistern,
running water from your own well.
16 Should your springs overflow in the streets,
your streams of water in the public squares?
17 Let them be yours alone,
never to be shared with strangers.
18 May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19 A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be intoxicated with her love.
20 Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife?
Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?

21 For your ways are in full view of the Lord,
and he examines all your paths.
22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them;
the cords of their sins hold them fast.
23 For lack of discipline they will die,
led astray by their own great folly.

Yes, I am a literalist. I dont like changing the text.

As I said already, I think the "of your youth" part is important here.

Please answer the question as asked. Here it is again since you dodged it the first time.
