Hi everybody

I need some advice. Last year I applied to join the army but got rejected cos I failed the online medical questionnaire. Because I had history of self harm on my medical record it was an automatic rejection. But last night the army emailed me saying they had a new online medical questionnaire.

Now they KNOW why I failed last time. They KNOW I have more than 1 time of self harm on my medical record, and this is still an auto rejection from an applicant to the army. So why send me this link? Like, it's still a rule that ex self harmers are rejected automatically. And these army recruitment people KNOW why I failed last time. So why contact me and offer me this again well knowing that I will fail? What is the point? Are they trying to wind me up?

Sounds like a spam to get personal information and steal your identity....doubt it comes from the government.

It is from the army. The real army not some spam or anything

Appearances can be deceiving. People online even use the IRS website (make it look real, but it's fake) to fool people into thinking they owe money to the IRS. However, the IRS does NOT send, telephone, or email people. Same with the US Army.. This is a scam.

If the army rejected you, that's it. They wouldn't send you another "updated" questionnaire. Something is fishy with this.

You probably got it because you were interested before, maybe something did change though, you could always ask them this question

I agree but... it is the official army site. My dad said maybe the army just made a mistake and mistaked me for someone else and just mixed up. But I'm like... Yeah he could be right but they're supposed to be professional

Actually, yes it does. One red flag is that the URL is absurdly long. URL's are NOT that lengthy.. I researched that link to look for user reviews, not a single thing related to that website came up. Also, the (legit) Army does NOT give you another questionnaire to fill out, once you've been rejected. And if there IS a new questionnaire, they'd already have put it out on their site. A third red flag is, there is no number to contact them at, not even an email address. I'm telling you, this is a scam.

Owzk, NO, they didn't "make a mistake and mistook you for someone else". :/ No one else in the army has YOUR email address, so that right there should convince you. THIS is the OFFICIAL website of the army in your country. Is this site where you went to sign up?

Your link doesn't work. I typed it into my browser and a whole bunch of nonsense websites came up..

I wonder how it's so difficult for someone to do a copy and paste job. The link works perfectly fine, you might be struggling to figure it out. I'll simplify it for you:

1) copy
2) paste
3) enter

It doesn't show 'a whole bunch of nonsense websites' for me:

Maybe their systems (their being the ones who sent that email) tells them you failed , but not why, and they want more people so they just send that mail to all who failed, hoping they will "recruit" more people?

Contact whatever part of the army that deals with such things and ask them.

I DID copy paste it in. :) That brought up strange websites also, just as it did when I typed it in by hand..

Great idea. To the OP, they've included a number on in the link too - imgur.com/a/ZfAlo - it's identical to the number on the main site, give it a buzz to look into it.
