well said sis. The problem is that most believer don't study the church history or find time to look up Greek and Hebrew meaning of words. but for those that do, they understand perfectly what you are saying. blessed

I'm also very glad you came here too Talishi. There are believers here who know the Good News. It's really Good News! We do not have to go this world (or the next) alone. Jesus came to be our Savior from all the things that seek to devour us as human beings. From our very flesh and bone right down to our very souls Jesus came to save us.

Sin is what we need to be saved from and only Jesus can do that. We are not good enough. We don't have a solid and good constitution. We are weak in body and in mind and soul. Even if we happen to see this about ourselves and try to run from ourselves, we can't because we go wherever we are.

We can't even be consistently good no matter how much we try because we are fallible human beings. Even the best and sweetest and kindest lovely person is still fallible. As you know from your reading the Bible and talking to other Christians., the standard for goodness is higher than us human beings. We need some major help from this situation. And the good news is Jesus Christ came to save sinners. He came to be a Physician to the sick.

well said sis! in addition to that, Sin is more than just the acts we commit! Sin is a nature and that nature was dealt with completely at the cross. SIN has been condemned in the flesh of the Son of God " ....God sending his Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned in the flesh (Rom8:3)" . " ..who by HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of majesty on high( Heb 1:3). Yes we may still practice the effects of sin known as sins at individual level. that is because our minds have not yet caught up with the reality of the gospel- that we now have a new nature. that's why Paul admonishes us to be renewed in the spirit of our minds; to recon that we are no longer under the dominion of sin; That we have been translated form one nature to another; from darkness into the kingdom of His dear son.

personally, I did not agree with what she did, but I never reported her

That's a true story, I was saved at 9PM on Wednesday, August 15, 1979 in Olympia, Washington. Of course, when my flirtation with Evangelicalism was over I went back to the Roman Catholic Church in 1996, so maybe my salvation never "took" but if you wonder where my familiarity with the Bible comes from, there you go.

you can go to any profile and check out the persons' activity...or posts...or threads they started

you prob know that...

after awhile, a picture of that person emerges whether or not they think they reveal things about themselves or not

Now flipping this statement on its head. Hyper grace believers who continue is sin
without regard, are still saved, help or grace for the true Christian life while on this
earth does not work for them.

If they can maintain their faith in defeat, then they are safe. It would explain why
they so often testify to failure, conviction of sin and a lack of ability to resolve their

i too did the same thing, i commented on her post without first reading her previous post lol until i read the " i don't need a savior' post!! This has taught me a lesson- to always read through before responding to any post
