this is a Bible discussion forum, not a q and a. and there are 100% better " answers " than yours.
As a side note, there are often better answers to many things than I give, but I am willing
to provide an opinion if asked, which I admire in anyone. Are you in the ministry of
discouragement or encouragement my friend?

If you can lose your salvation by not doing works. It would stand to reason you believe that you need works to stay saved. Thus you are espousing a "works based salvation".

Here's what I am confident about:

Phil 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

If you don't believe you need works to stay saved then glory to God.

If you believe faith produces works then glory to God.

I know your group believes one can never lose salvation no matter how much they sin, but Jesus said whosoever sins is a servant of sin and a servant of sin abides not in the house forever. That means there is no "eternal security" for ongoing sinners. Remember, sin is also considered a work= "workers of iniquity." You are either workers of sin, or workers of righteousness, depending on which Master you serve and whose Spirit you are of.

No one here is preaching a works for salvation doctrine, that is a straw man distraction by those who hate to hear the words "do" or "follow" or "keep" or "abide" or "obedience". But Jesus clearly said to follow Him, abide in His words and doctrine, and do the Fathers will. Jesus also said every branch in Him that does not bear "fruit"=RIGHTEOUS WORKS he will take it away, it will wither and die. The end result of those "unfruitful" branches is to be removed from the Life of the Vine and to be cast off and be burned.

So though we our selves are not able to bear good fruit of our own power except we abide in the Life of the Vine= Christ, we are still expected to bear good fruit=works of righteousness, by being empowered by Christ. So clearly works matter, whether works of sin unto death, or works of righteousness unto Eternal Life through Christ our Lord.

Matthew 7:21-27 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.[SUP]22 [/SUP]Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

gd9 - Do you know what a lie is?

If I say the sky is blue, and someone says you said it was black, that is a lie.
If I say we are saved through faith in Christ evidenced by good works in our lives in words and
deeds, and someones says i say you are saved through good works, that is a lie.

So I will call lies lies when they happen. I have been reluctant to do this in the past, but then
I realised these guys lie all the time, it literally does not matter to them at all.

Now I have not caught you lying so I do not call you a liar. This is what it means to follow
the truth and have integrity. Now if non-believers lie, it is their problem, I will point out where
I stand, but when "believers" do this while saying I am evil, lying, full of hatred, malice, envy etc
there comes a point when I just am called to publically confront this sin.

And many people of faith and non-faith know the bible, they still lie and tell the truth about it
also. It does not make their opinion automatically right. I think you have been overawed by
things too much.

On bad mouthing people, some do this all the time everywhere. They slander people
constantly without any evidence and inappropriately.

I just point out the lies as they happen, and am surprised how frequently this occurs. It is
because so few challenge them about it, they have got arrogant and too full of themselves.

And to finish people can lie if they want to, it is just a statement on their integrity.
To have an meaningful interaction though you have to show respect and integrity, which is
why they have made things such a war zone. And stupidly they think they gain something
by this rather than condemn themselves to the place they are coming from.

Jesus did the "will of God"...and delivered us from this present evil world

The good works we do are from "being in Christ"...being lead by the Holy Spirit. Notice God has prepared them for us. We walk them out as we life our lives dependent on Him.

Good works do not bring salvation as in going to be with the Lord - good works are the result of being saved and being in Christ.

You could be cleanest living person on the planet and still not be in Christ.

I have found at least 7 things about doing the will of God on this earth now that we are in Christ.

1) That we have eternal life in Christ - John 6:40

2) That we be filled with the Holy Spirit - Eph 5:16-21

3) That we live a pure, disciplined lifestyle - 1 Thess 4:3-4 ( we live out that holiness that is already in us in our new man ..created in Christ in righteousness and holiness )

4) That we are rejoicing in the Lord, praying without ceasing, and grateful - 1 Thess 5:16-18

5) That we be a law-abiding citizen - 1 Peter 2:13-16

6) That we believe and influence others to believe - 2 Peter 3:9

7) That we commit ourselves to God and other believers - 2 Cor 8:5

According to the works-based salvationists...if someone is not joyful one day or didn't pray for a couple of days...or was not grateful for a day or so and they died..then they would go to hell because they didn't do " the will of God"..( see #4 above )....

How foolish this nonsense is when we do not factor in the "will of the Father" for salvation in being with the Lord when we die. If we do not factor in the completed work of Christ for our salvation then we will come up with all kinds of man-made "works" we must do to "help" Jesus with our salvation.

What about #5 above...if you speed and crash your car and die..you go to hell because you were not doing " the will of God"...again the complete foolishness of people that say..not doing the will of God are not
saved without factoring in just what is the "will of the Father" for salvation .

The "doing of the will of God" for salvation is to believe on Christ and it is by grace through faith only - no works. Eph 2:8-9

The saint who rests in Christ and in His finished work is the will of God and what appears to be his free choices are actually God's will for him. It's loving God because you know His love for you, doing what is inside of you under His influence.

Phil 2:13 It is God who is at work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

Now the idea of being a slave to something sounds bad, until you realise
righteousness is love and working out how to love people.

Now when you are hurting and needing love within it is very hard to talk about
loving others, but Jesus is saying the river will rise up in your heart and literally
overflow to others. So it is not an onerous command but almost a testimony
to the Lords work within.

It is why those who have not experienced this it is like a alien world and another
faith. But this is what it means to learn to walk with Christ, and it will happen
like night follows day, it is the fruit of the spirit, as real as a seed becomes a
small bud and grows into a massive plant, so it is with His people.

It is also why the "teachers" who do not know what I am speaking of probably
never will, and is a testimony against them. It was their choice many years
ago, and they have reaped what they have sown.

But then Gods judgement is this brutal, which is why the lake of fire is a place
to be truly feared, and what God offers is truly fantastic.

One I hope is clear, about victory love and overcoming, transformation and victory,
the other is a confused version of legalism and bondage, which cannot be preached without the
other.

But I know in that which I walk. It is not theory, or lies, or compromise, it is just the truth

Glory in Gods love

Love sounds like such an emotional word, without depth.
But if you have ever fallen in love, you know the two of you will change the world.

And when love is dashed, it can sometimes turn to hate.
It is why we sin to get back at those who have disappointed us.

But God is saying it is sin itself that has destroyed us, it is this separation from Him
that has brought death, that He is willing to now bridge, to reach out and welcome
the prodigal home.

What a glorious King we have, what a glorious gospel in the cross, the eternal
demonstration of sacrifice and eternal commitment to make us whole again.

Those who are the sons of God are born of God. Whosoever is born of God sins not. Just as if one is truly under grace sin shall not have dominion over you. So all one need do is check themselves, and prove them own selves and see if they are truly abiding in Christ, or in sin. :)

I listen very closely to everything, but just lying about what I say and intend, is not
respect or even a discussion.

When will these people stop and show simple respect. It is part of being a follower of
Christ. But this fruit literally defines their lostness.

I try very hard to both understand the real ethics and doctrine of any group, and see
its strengths and weaknesses. Now this is hard for them, because if I conclude a fatal floor
in their position, it means in an unfortunate way, I am right and they are wrong. But this
is not my battle, it is what it means to be commited to truth.

You want respect?

Learn to respect others.

You lie slander and continually claim people believe things they do not Peter. We can go to thread after thread after thread of people telling you they do not believe what you claim they do. So please stop.

THE HG Group would says, The relationship with God is the most important thing after salvation. To the salvation is a relationship. God is our abba, We are his adopted children.

I never really payed much attention to t.v. preachers, nor for the doctrines of any man for that matter, just only applying myself to God's written words and discerning them by the Holy Spirit. But when I began to post online I started seeing all these different strange ideas and doctrines, and wanted to know where these perverted doctrines were coming from.

I didn't even know what WOF teachings were, or MAD teachings were, or Hyper grace teachings were until I started looking at what these teachers of it have to say via the internet, because I do not have cable t.v. But you can see where these followers of "hyper grace" and followers of Joseph Prince are getting this twisted and perverted doctrine from by looking at their teachers.

I post at another forum where it is over run with MAD followers, and they are just as bad as the "hyper grace" followers when it comes to perverting the words of God. I don't know much about Joel Osteen, but you have to realize that speaking the whole gospel truth about repenting of sin and the lusts of the flesh and walking in righteousness is not going to be a very popular thing to those who just want to hear "good things" about their own sinful condition. These false teachers omit to tell people that the proof of a true conversion and rebirth and sanctification, and the true sign of God's grace actually working in a believer is by them being set free from the bondage of sin and the ways of the world, and then them walking in righteousness=righteous living and doing.

The reason they do not want to offend of course is because that also hurts the cash flow to their ministry. In this we also see who they truly serve. :)

Actually I did a little look into Joseph Princes teachings and found tons of errors in them. Even when I watch some of these videos posted by his followers, and copy pastes from their websites, and even listening to the beliefs of his followers I find constant errors in his teachings, which are contrary to the words of God and gospel of Jesus Christ.

His doctrine has alot of half truths in it, but half truths are not the whole Truth. A little leaven of lies can leaven the whole Truth. :)

According to some peoples theory - if someone has sinned after they received Christ then they were never born of God. This is NOT the truth.

It is very obvious that we need to understand the new creation in Christ and learn what actually happened to the believer when they were sealed with the Holy Spirit when they believed. Eph 1:13

1 John 5:18 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

1 John 3:9 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 Peter 1:23 says "born again not of corruptible seed but incorruptible seed which is the word of God"

1 John 3 & 5 verses tell us that it is impossible for those that are born of God to sin. Why is it not possible for the one born of God to sin? We all know that people sin - and yes, malice and slander is sinning just like committing homosexual acts are sinning too despite how we try to camouflage it.

These tenses in 1 John 3 and 5 are in the present tense which always means the present. If someone is stealing - it's in the present tense, if someone is slandering others - it is in the present tense so all sinning is done in the present tense.

Some translators put in their own bias and say "do not habitually sin". They do this to water down the meaning because we don't know what to do with 1 John 3:9 and 5:18 and Peters' words as well as Paul who says that the new creation in Christ is created in righteousness and holiness. That Christ lives in our spirit now as we are joined in one spirit.

Obviously these verses mean that it is impossible for the new creation which is in Christ to sin. Paul says that it is the deeds of the body that we are to put to death by the Spirit. Romans 8:13

Paul also talks about the circumcision of the heart which is in Christ and the body of flesh. The Holy Spirit when He seals us - He cuts away the real inner man that is in Christ from the flesh. This is also called the circumcision of Christ. Col. 2:11

Think about it...when a believer sins - what happens to Jesus who is in us by the Holy Spirit - does He leave us? NO, of course not. Jesus was right there with those Corinthians even though they were going to have sex with the temple prostitutes and all the other stuff they were doing like causing divisions and strife.

We really need to learn what happened to us when we received Christ and we became new creations in our inner man - created in righteousness and holiness.

Without his understanding we end up making up doctrines that say we lose our salvation and it's many derivatives because of what we do and we end up creating our own works-based religion which really denies the work of Christ and nullifies the grace of Christ in our lives.
