Personally, I'm just holding out for an Immigrated Goat Apocalypse...
If the relative I have in mind were talking about the immigrated goat Apocalypse, it would be easier listening...
Goat personalities? That sounds kinda funny.

My ex step-dad was and still is obsessed with the apocalypse, revelation and end of times. It's really weird. I just pretend to listen whenever I see him (mom and him at still friends).

My family loves to gossip. Only the women though. The men don't really care. It's really sad and I try to get away from it.
It would be funny except a particular relative is deadly serious... like, if you insult the intelligence of goats, there will be yelling and possibly tears.

And I have never met anyone else except her who has tried to work a discussion about the Holy Spirit into a discussion about goats (yes, it's every bit as awkward as it sounds).
My Grandma used to talk about disgusting thing's when we'd eat together. She'd sit there and tell us all about chopping chicken heads off and how they'd run around after you did that. Then she'd actually discuss the way they butchered the chicken. We usually were eating chicken and these were the fond memories of living over a butchers shop year's ago. Then she'd tell us all about how they cooked eel in Sweden and the wonderful disgusting Surstromming which is a lovely fermented Baltic Sea herring packed in a lot of salt and can explode if under to much pressure. It also has a rancid smell. If you Goggle it you will find some very amusing exploding fish stories. Then when she was working at a hospital we got to hear all the gory details of some of the thing's she saw. Usually while we were eating.

My Cousin and I used to call them death meals. I loved my Grandma but she didn't seem to understand that it's not good to talk about disgusting things while eating. Oh she also used to eat pickled pigs feet in front of us. It was not pretty.
LOL I accidentally talk about morbid/gross things at the dinner table all the time...

Like one time when I was at my aunt's house and she had company over and at the dinner table I just started up a cheery conversation about death camps and torture techniques employed in Communist Romania... fortunately, no one seemed to mind. It didn't even occur to me until the meal was almost over that that was probably not okay in general society.

Glad to help! :)

Well fraud seems to be everywhere today. I got a letter stating that we're part of a class action lawsuit against the people that we have our mortgage through and have for ten years. Apparently it's something to do with a home modification program we applied for. Then I saw on the local news tonight that they people we've been buying our cars from, a dealership that's been . around forever. One that I actually trusted more than others has been screwing a few banks and something about straw loans. The owners Son and some others have been arrested. The man who owned this dealership for years retired a few years ago and his Son took it over. I don't think that their fraud has anything to do with us, but man you can't trust anyone anymore. :(
My older sister's kids had all their dental work done (braces included) years back by an orthodontist who turned out to be a fraud. My sister said she wasn't too upset over it as her kids' teeth all look great today. Oh well....

I'm sure the Pre-Schoolers parents would also be very displeased. Thank you for your help. :)

I'm just waiting for something good to happen in my life. Sick of the anxiety and exhaustion and lack of joy and things to look forward to.
Sweetie...
Join the club.
The past few years it's been downhill.
Anxiety multiple types of depression, constant hospital visits, family problems.
Nothing lasts forever though.
It's true. I promise. We aren't told this life will be easy. Heck in this screwed up world we are bound to have a screwed up life.
Hope and joy is never gone though.
There is light in dark and beauty in a world of ugly.
Without the bad we couldn't enjoy and truly love the good.
We gotta have the bad in out life. It sucks... a lot...I know... you just gotta hang in there... these trials only lead to a life with no trials and no tears or sorrow.
You just gotta wait the all the ..... out.

Ahhhh the heck with that "waiting for something" stuff, dear Tintin! You're only young once. MAKE something happen. Do something really different ~ travel even if it's just a day trip to the next town ~ do something you always were afraid to do ~ do Karaoke or audition for a play or dance with someone you don't know ~ buy something in the store window that you've been eyeing ~ go downtown and visit all the little shops you never went into before ~ find some new music and play it LOUDLY ~ whatever you choose to do, TALK TO EVERYONE YOU MEET! :D Just strike up random conversations with strangers and listen to their stories ~ tell them yours, too! And write the details down in a book afterward so you can remind yourself later that you are a brave soul with an adventurous spirit!

And don't forget to share those adventures with us. Loving blessings to you, son!

Dang.... I didn't realize there was a curse word written on the screen at one point in the video I previously posted. I caught it in time and deleted it. Man, that was a good bass cover though.

Okay, so one of my facebook friends (I don't know her very well, personally anymore), just broke up with her boyfriend because he wouldn't let her take their BABY to an adult party. On top of that, she's being ridiculously dramatic about it.
It made me think about how most people now, deal with relationships. She has a kid with this guy, and she freaks out because she's not allowed to take the baby to a party. That's a child, who now has parents who aren't together, for a petty dispute that —from what I know of this girl— was blown WAY out of the water.
There are other relationships like this. One dispute, and everything is done. One problem and they fall apart. My generation doesn't put things back together again, they find a shiny, new toy.
I didn't grow up in a generation that fixes things, but I was taught by the generation that did.
Yes, I've been divorced, but that was not until after he did some things I couldn't help him fix. I couldn't do anything else, he had to do it himself, because I had done everything I knew how to do, and I had a baby to protect from his abuse. That's beside the point.
Because I got divorced, a lot of people believed I didn't know how to hold on to a relationship. Maybe I don't. But I've held on to the one I have now, and believe me, I've been through a lot in the two years I've been married. I've grown a lot. But mostly, I've fought with him. I've yelled at him, I've blown up about things that probably didn't need to be blown up about. The point is, I've broken and so has he, and we fix it.
Maybe it's because, my whole life, I've taken on responsibility for everything, even if it wasn't mine; and I was always taught to be responsible for my actions, my stewardships, etc. So any time something went wrong, I felt like, in some way, it was my fault and I had to do something to fix it. In a way, it is my responsibility. My relationships are something I need to take care of as best I can, so if it gets broken, I'm going to fix it.
Then you throw kids in the mix and it just gets more essential to make stuff work as best you can. I can't help but feel sorry for this girl's kids, because her oldest is 2, and has had 3 or 4 different men in her life. Her baby just had her parents break up because of a party.
If you seriously believe that in your relationships, there will never be fights, your heart will never break over something, you'll never have to worry again, you're never going to disagree, you're never going to feel like they've done something totally wrong; you will never have a lasting relationship.
One of the biggest things that let's me know for sure, that I'm who I belong with; is that when I have bad spirits, they ALWAYS make me mad at him. They're ALWAYS pointing out something wrong with him. My bad spirits hate him. That's how I know the devil doesn't want us together. If the devil doesn't want us together, then we must be dangerous to him, together. Whether I hate him at the moment, or not, I will always fix all that I can.
Sorry, long rant, but it was on my mind, so I'm saying it.

I know it was kinda an odd question but I am attending Fallas Baptist University. In my calculus class my professor always starts out with a scripture and asks us to give our views and thoughts on it and how we think it applies to life and calculus. Anyhow yesterday the verse was psalms 119:96. Coincidence....? Lol

That's what caught my curiosity and caused my to ask.
No I do not attend DBU. I already have a degree.

I do think it's very cool that your professor started out the class with Psalm 119:96 in calculus.

Seeing that calculus deals with the limits to functions and how some approach infinity (but never quite so), it's nice he chose a verse that talks about a "limit to perfection."

Well then, this proves I'm not a very good stalker.

Well... sometimes I wonder where I am too. So many places in so less time... Just packing my backpack to fly out this weekend.

Adventure calls ^_^

How convenient, that people can push your buttons all they want, and you can take it for so long. But as soon as you can't take it anymore, and you call them out on their crap; you're the one with the "anger issues", you're the one with the problem.

Yet it's so blatantly transparent, it's laughable. They'll go to the ends of the earth and back to get a rise out of a person. They'll take hot topics, they'll come back under different id's, they'll respond to everything you say in the most cognizantly challenged way possible all in the hopes of getting you upset. Just feel sorry for them and leave them to the Lord.
