Jesus doesn't label us as gays or straight. That's not in my vocab either. That's the world's labeling of our outward dead man (who was crucified in Christ). It's truly a meaningless label.
I’m often baffled when people don’t find it extremely disturbing that there are “Christians” on this site supporting women being subservient to men, men having multiple wives, advocating divorcing a spouse for infidelity but not for emotional & physical abuse, and yet bash and condemn gays, women preaching, and independent women. It’s like they are still in the dark ages. How is their religiously corrupt attitude any different from religious extremists condemning & killing gays and independent women in Muslim countries? WAKE UP, FOLKS! These Westborough Baptist-type religious nuts spouting this garbage are no different than the self-righteous scribes and Pharisees who were blind guides and stinking tombs filled with rotting corpses.
God is spirit and not a man. God guides us spiritually. If you surrender your life to Christ, he will perfect you and conform you into his own identity spiritually, not the identity of what these fanatics dictate to you. It isn’t about our outward man, it’s about our heart's condition in Christ. You can trust your life 100% to our faithful Savior. Don’t listen to the angry, noisy mob. They’re blind and clueless.
Gluttony, Troublemaking, Boasting, Pride, Tale bearing, Critical spirt, Unforgiveness, Jealousy, Deceit, Lying, Manipulation, Anger, Condemnation, Rebelliousness, Cheating, Laziness, Self-pity, Grumbling, Stingy, Prejudice, Impatience, Wandering eye, Lust, Greed, Materialism, Gambling, Promise breaker, Sneakiness, Haughtiness, Flirtatiousness, Doubt, Unbelief, etc., etc. None of these sins inherits the kingdom of God either.
Ya know why? Because no flesh will ever inherit the kingdom. God’s kingdom is spirit and truth. It’s an eternal kingdom. The things that pass away, which are not eternal can never enter God’s kingdom. Nobody will ever measure up by outward efforts because if you’re not guilty of one thing, you’re certainly guilty of another. People don’t get it. They keep trying to make the outward dead man appear good but it’ll never happen. Your flesh is a dead thing to God. Put a holy suit or skirt on it, it’s still a rotting corpse.
It’s not what you do or do not do. It’s what Christ is doing in you. If Christ is in you, you’d be treating others the way you want to be treated. You’d be trusting God for your life and not in your own efforts. You'd have nothing to boast about except for Christ. You'd have nothing to witness to others except for Jesus Christ. Nobody who thinks they are in a position to condemn someone else is walking in Christ. Nowhere in scripture does Jesus tell anyone to stop being who they are and change themselves. He says, “Follow me.” We’re here to introduce folks to Christ and trust the Lord to lead them, not condemn them and tell them how to live. We are created to be living witnesses, to love one another and trust God for each other and for our own lives. Period.
