you and a friend died at the same time you both go to the gates of heaven and god is there and he says to you "you can come into heaven but your friend can not enter" what do you do

please keep in my mind that your friend could be your best friend or even your lover. and the reason they can not enter could be because there a unbeliver or didnt follow the right branch of christianty (people do have different view on the bible)

look forward to hearing your answers

God comes first no matter who is on this journey with you. Just like you wouldn't want to hold no one else back from finding their way to God, you should never allow someone else to hold you back. This is a question i've never heard of, im just curious but why do you ask?

if I was dead and chose not to go to heaven I'd go to hell, I wouldn't be any use to my friend there, so the uestion is pointless. You die you go to either heaven or hell, you can't choose.

Well, if they were my "best friend," they'd already be Christian.
If not, (they'd just be "a friend") I'd share the word with them while we were still alive.
Whether they choose to accept God's salvation while alive is solely on them.

Greetings Zavok! Haven't bumped into you for awhile.

Zavok, as MonicaR says, God is our first love. Anyone who hates our #1 love, how can we love them? Someone despises God and spurns His love, why would I want to be with that person?

Let's say you are married Zavok. If you had a good friend who hated the woman you love, and always talked down about her, would you want that person to move in with the two of you as a room-mate? I would think you wouldn't want to see that person very often after awhile, unless he changed his attitude.

Psalm 139:21-23 (King James Version)
21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

If it were that easy everyone would be a Christian, even Zavok!

So let's talk and we'll get you to "see sense" regarding how you ought to love your Creator.

Actually, that's exactly how Paul felt:

1I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

But God makes the final decision - not us - and His decision is a just decision:

20The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Not loving God as an unbeliever doesn't mean you hate him or the christian faith.

I see this question a different way, for me it wouldn't be about me at all it would be about my friend, say I am the friend and I am going to hell, the last thing I would want is my friend who is invited into heaven not to go but choose to suffer just to be with me, if I had to suffer I'd like to know my friend, someone I loved, was in a much better place.

So I would go into heaven knowing that is what my friend would want me to do, I would make that choice as much for me as for them.

When I said that Matthew, it was on the deepest level, in regards to total depravity and God's opinion of man. We all would have taken turns driving the nails into His hands and feet, if we had the opportunity. That is sinful man's estate.

Well it must be hypothetical lol, because no-one who is not going to Heaven will be outside its gates, but I know what you mean.

I believe when we die we will not be like humans at all but like the angels. Will we think of those we knmw on earth? I'm not so sure we will then. We will be totally changed.

I would hope that from reading your post people might redouble their efforts in prayer for a loved one who is not saved, then at the day of judgement you can walk through those gates together.

Remember the parable. The woman kept pestering the evil judge for justice. In the end he made sure she had it, she wore him down with her constant coming. God will surely answer prayers if we persist in them and believe
