"For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous." Romans 5:19 ESV

Okay, so, I'd like to hear from you guys. I'll just use this one verse because I hate to copy+paste the rest of the bible (wall of text) here when I know we all have our own bibles and have read them from cover to cover if not more than once.

Case in point: When Adam fell, all of mankind fell. Nothing that man ever does gets him out of this fallen state we're in. By the same token, Jesus redeemed us from our fallen state. Would it be right to say that nothing that man ever does gets him out of his redeemed state?

I would love to hear your inputs and welcome all contribution (except trolls ).

What you're talking about is the symbolism of Adam being deceived by the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil that hid the Tree of Life. Adam had no idea how he was created and formed in the flesh or what the future is. This knowledge was to be revealed through the prophets and saints to testify to the Tree of Life and learn what it is that gives life experiences to God's people and beasts.

This means that everyone including the prophets who knew God was kept in the dark about how they were created or what the future will be like for God's creation until God's saints began testifying to the Tree of Life, also known as the voice of God. Many prophets had to write these words, "Listen to my voice and obey my commandments and you will be blessed".

No one listened to the voice of God except for God's prophets prior to the first saint who testified to the voice of God, also known as the Tree of Life. However, the knowledge that was kept from the prophets were now revealed through the testimonies of the saints which is was finished on March 17th of this years with that last details of what the Tree of Life is.

So it wasn't just the testimony of Jesus that revealed the Tree of Life, there were many of us who came after Jesus who testified to the same Tree of Life but during the first witness, there was no computer technology available to teach them exactly what the Tree of Life is. That would have to wait another 1700 years before the second witness was used to reveal the last details of what the Tree of Life is. Now I know exactly what the Tree of Life is so the end of this age that was planned before the foundation of the earth was formed will come to fruition.

It looks like whatever destruction that came to the earth through Adam has been out-done by Christ's work which is so much more because of the grace of God. God's gift of Christ to us and what Christ has done for us is far greater then the death that Adam's transgression brought.

Romans 5:14-15 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

[SUP]15 [/SUP] But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.

I can best answer like this. (with my opinion, ma'am)

Adam & Eve were already immortal, and living in Paradise.

God told them, don't eat from this tree, because in the day you do, you will surely die. (short version).
Satan said, hissssss, you will not surely die.

Adam & Eve disobeyed God.
Adam & Eve lost their immortality and paradise.
They were tricked into thinking God didn't really mean what He said about disobedience.

I need to edit one thing in my previous post.
Eve was tricked. Adam was not.
(in my opinion)

1 Timothy 2:14, “And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”

It doesn't have to be an opinion of yours, just allow Scripture to tell us who was deceived.

Yes, it would be right to say that about those in Christ. In Adam made sinners. In Christ made righteous.

1 Timothy 2:14, “And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”

It doesn't have to be an opinion of yours, just allow Scripture to tell us who was deceived.

just being careful.
thank you for posting the verse.
that verse means a lot more than some people know.

Adam and Eve and all their offspring were deceived by the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil that hid the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is being revealed through the testimonies of God's chosen saints but religious heathens reject the Tree of Life and worship Satan and the Beast instead.

well, it is just interesting, and an awesome teaching, in my opinion, of why Paul would say it the way he said it. But he has good reason.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.1 Timothy 2:14 (KJV, MBM)

This particular (amazing) teaching may not seem in line with your OP, but to me it is.
For the sake of.... order, I will just hold it for now, unless you demand.
thank you for the thread. it is a good one.

I'm really not sure that question can even be asked with the dichotomy you have chosen

the verse (and passage) you have chosen for us to reflect on does not allow for the introduction of the question you are asking IMO

in fact, reading the whole chapter, it becomes even less an option I think; from the same chapter:

9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

10For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

11Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Paul is making a point here that creates an exception regarding the introduction of any sort of argument counter the dichotomy and purposely so

I understand your question, but if man can altar redemption, then there is no redemption. do you see that?

the pivotal point of redemption is that we CANNOT earn it, that indicates we cannot change it,,,it's out of our hands

now if you are asking can we walk away? probably so...but then Jesus IS the Good Shepard after all

if one is redeemed, the Bible indicates they are redeemed and as one cannot earn redemption, then how can one unearn it as it were?

there is somewhat of a paradox here I'm thinking...anyway

I haven't read the other answers...I guess I will...but I am thinking your premise is wrong

you did ask...my best answer

I thank God for the New Covenant.John1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Cult religions teach that there are many ways to God. We know that's false and a lie from Satan. The Bible teaches that Jesus is the only way to God. John14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. Verse 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. To understand the heart of God remember what Christ did for you on the Cross. John17:3 And this is eternal life
that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Romans5:8 But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.1John5:4-5 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Satan
is the Father of Lies. Many Christians are haunted by their past and Satan has made them feel condemned because of their past sins. Wake up People stop believe Satan's lies. Trust in God's Word and understand his grace and love for you. No matter what Satan says, We're not guilty because God delivered us from sin through Christ's death on the Cross. Romans8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. All these Scriptures came from New King James
and King James Version. To God be the Glory. Preacha24-7

Please enlighten me. I really don't see how it relates to my op :/

Don't have time to go through it all now, but Adam knew exactly what he was doing, he was not deceived. He hearkened unto the cry of his bride. In order to be with his bride, Adam at of the fruit and fell as well. What Adam could not do, the second Adam did. Christ humbled Himself to make a way to be with His bride.

Christ forfeited His dominion - Adam
Christ gave up His kingdom - Adam
Christ became sin for us(although He did not sin) - Adam
Christ died for His bride - Adam

Adam was a similitude of what was to come in the second Adam, Jesus Christ. That's the short version.
