If masturbation is a more powerful entity than Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross and His Resurrection then that doesn't say much for Jesus now does it.

Thankfully we serve a mighty God; He who is omnipotent and omniscient; loving His creation to the fullest, regardless of our shortfalls.
I hear ya Utah...which is why I asked her this...

Odd how a "christian" site can have more graphic conversations that almost every secular site I have ever been a member of. Just an observation. I think it's quirky.

The OP hasn't been back.. So why did the conversation go from his question to this current topic?

To answer the current discussion, isn't it lusting and fantasizing over someone? Someone doesn't do it just as a way for something to do. It's for an end result. A release of dopamine. A pleasure. Just like two people don't need to actually "do it" to have sex, yet that's still considered a sin. Is it not? Calling something a sin is not judging a person. I don't know where folks are getting this connotation from. And yes, I'm speaking from experience. There's also research and plenty of books on what it can do to the brain, too, since it is a form of pleasure and way to release dopamine.

You know God created us to have sexual desires and it's completely normal for people in a marriage to want a healthy sex life, but what troubles me is going to multiple people to increase their desire within their marriage rather than trying to find the answer within themselves and fix the root issue. Turning to other people is never the answer for any type of situation whether it be a personal one or relationship and friendships are tied into that one as well. There is a trust and sanctity within all relationships that once you turn to someone else to fulfill any sort of desire you are headed down a long path that only God can deliver you from and by sheer miracle that said person would forgive you.

Friendships for example are between two people even though you may have mutual friends. When you have a problem with one you don't go to another and talk about the problem and go to the root person and find a solution together, it's a thing called communication and we all have issues with that

I think YIG was referring to how the conversation shifted.. The OP also hasn't been back. Folks don't seem to care, though, which is why it shifted.

Graphic conversations are needed in the Body of Christ, it was one of the reasons why we have lost so many battles...we ahve not nor will never lose the war, but the battle for Sex should start and end in the church and the loudest voice about SEX on the planet should be the church....

The Song of Solomon is enough to make anyone blush, but religion has made it out to be a about How the church should love Jesus and that dog won't hunt...

People seem to miss the part in the bible where when God was done creating his PHYSICAL creation that He said it was very good. Apparently it was actually bad and we are supposed to walk around as these spiritual beings who have no desires or wants or needs. I need to go take a poop now.....it's kinda sinful to poop even tho I can't help it. Lol

It all starts with how and what you are taught about Adam and Eve...

Snicker and snort folks, but it is the truth....

You're 16; give it time.
So the way you would have me believe it, masturbation is an inevitable and unavoidable event that is destined to happen to anybody who is physically capable of doing it. Right?

90% of all capable humans admit to masturbating; the other 10% are liars. Get back to me in another 16 years and let me know how that non-masturbating thing is going for ya. Don't worry, I won't gloat, nor will I gloat when we're in Heaven, sustained eternally by God's saving grace in Jesus Christ.

Oh my, if God had that big of a problem with this activity, I would have been struck by lightning and been burning in hell by the time I was 15. I must say something like this probably should be done out of necessity rather than habit.

This is about as low as you can get, Utah. She's sixteen years old.

Don't let Utah lead you astray. Follow the course God has given you.

All-knowing Utah, thank you for your your wisdom. It's good to know that there are people out there who know the sexual actions of every person who ever lived. I aspire to liken myself into you some day, so that I can also preach to teenagers that it's alright to commit premarital sexual acts, as long as they ask for forgiveness afterwards, and that they need not bother trying to resist the devil because it's impossible.

Well, I suppose in his defense, most 16 year olds have already long lost their virginity. Don't make it right, though, and it certainly don't impress God.

Now children, play nice. You need not resort to calling names. It doesn't accomplish anything and it displeases God. :/ Utah and everyone else are entitled to their opinions. Opinions are like bums, everyone has one.. lol..

After reading your post multiple times, I think I can agree that the church should have a voice in sexual matters. However, I think conversations on a Christian site about swapping partners and other assorted topics are, honestly, the kind of things where "if you need to ask the question, you already know the answer" and they set off an alarm to me that says someone is asking to 1) troll the snot out of people or 2) person has already made up their mind and needs external validation so they can justify to themselves their bad behavior.

Why the topic shifted and now folks are talking about masturbating...I just don't understand. The things some people choose to take up arms about or choose to have strong feelings about. Mind boggling.
