When you find those really serene places in nature

Like when a friend and I found a stream and a small forest with a nice path smack in the middle of Edinburgh.

or when we went to Ninian's cave and walked through a very bright forest with plenty of bluebells and wild garlic.

... and then there's that feeling you get in some churches (sadly not all). That peaceful yet strong, almost overpowering feeling of God's presence. We stopped by a church somewhere remotely somewhere in the UK, I can't even remember where. My friend was taking pictures of the outside, and I noticed the door was open, so I went inside. I barely got form the entrance (side wall) to the nave before I was so overwhelmed I had to kneel down.
Wow just wow! Isn't it amazing when you step into a church in the heart of a huge bustling city and a serene peace surrounds you - I love that about city churches.

Wow.... I have felt several things that I would describe as the best feeling in the world so I cannot speak of only one being the best but since the thread is one for encouragement perhaps healing can be done inside a weary soul if I speak of them.

The first one I ever experienced was being wrapped in his arms and love feeling loved and adored beyond anything I could ever imagine as if there was nothing I could ever do do be loved and treasured any less to him. I grew up lonely unloved uncared for I felt worthless and wanted more than anything to matter to someone to be loved and cared about and when on that day I experienced this literally in his warm and loving arms feeling him pour the deepest love I have ever known into me endlessly I was in tears the kind of tears that only one who has known love for the first time could shed.

I have been in severe pain in both my physical body and inside death seemed like heaven to me no more pain no more worry or stress fear or anxiety just blissful sleep, I recall laying in bed feeling all this when suddenly I saw a flame a flame which I knew was the holy spirit himself the fire was made of all the colors of the rainbow that swirled and seemed to be the fire itself more vivid and more beautiful than any colors I have ever seen I couldn't helped but reach out and touch this fire I wasn't afraid of being burned I was amazingly fascinated by it and the second I touched it I felt the soothing feeling of his healing all over my body and inside my soul as well even remembering it my body aches to feel this soothing healing again. I remember that this fire poured life itself into me not energy or simply feeling good but it was as if I took my first breath after not breathing for so long I was filled with a fire that surged through my body a power that flooded my entire being the very love and light of God flowed through my veins.

I have also experienced his living waters feeling the cool and absolute serenity of it wash over my body and soul the kind of cool and refreshing feeling that makes you sigh as if you your body is so weary and has finally settled in a cool crisp clean water that feels so refreshing to your body and makes your skin tingle with pleasure and life and serenity a water that tastes so good to your throat and you can feel the cool delicious water run down your throat all the way into the your stomach and even then it's as if you have tasted water for the first time and you will never crave anything on this earth food and drink wise again you only want more of this amazing water that your taste buds have never dreamed of and that your entire being both physical and spiritual crave with deep groaning.

What is the best feeling in the world that you have felt or you wanna feel?

(p.s. please use those dramatic words that can warms up somebody's heart just by reading it lol :P)
I gave a sermon one time about our faith being under attack, and I didn't mince words regarding the need for a call to spiritual arms. After the service one gentleman approached me and said every Sunday for fifty years all he ever heard was peace and love, but on that day I raised some hell, and he wanted more. :D

Best feeling in the last 39 years, 10 months and few days - a supernatural experience I had on 12/8/2012. Totally eclipsed absolutely everything else I have ever felt (yes, gents...even THAT). By such a large margin it can't even be properly put into words. I am still, to this day, trying to make sense of what I felt that night back in 2012. My mind was blown so completely apart that pieces of my grey matter are travelling through deep space at near relativistic velocities.

sometimes god allows us to experience things that we could never explain in words there are sensations and experiences from him that no one could ever describe with words

Lately? Honestly, seeing my grand girls...it's difficult to believe you can love a kid that much. People without grand kids will never understand it....til they have one..

I love how it feels to leave the hectic world and surroundings i am living, and enjoy the presence of God peacefully

There is nothing like it! Giving birth to your first child, and looking at the marvel of that perfectly formed beautiful little boy that you carried for 9 months. And looking into the eyes for the first time.

I had 4 four more, but there is something about that first one.

.....So your eldest child is your favorite?
No that isn't what she saying. The feeling of seeing your very first child holding them in your arms for the first time in utter awe and amazement that such a beautiful creature could be born from you and that feeling of having your heart just utterly melt upon seeing the child that you are holding in your arms knowing that there is nothing this child could ever do to make you love them any less, this feeling is something that when experienced for the first time lingers in your mind and heart as long as you live and whenever you have another child you recall that feeling and remember how it felt for the first time and though you have had another child and the feeling is different in a way that you cannot really explain it's just as beautiful and just as treasured.

I understand so perfectly what you mean by this. When I had my first son I fell in love with him immediately and even though back then I knew nothing of God and my future with Him I knew in the days following the birth that I had to thank God for my son, I just didn't know how to go about it - that was the very first time I felt God calling me.

The love I had for my son following the birth was overwhelming and the subsequent births although equally amazing just cannot match that first experience of giving birth.

I wonder sometimes if a mothers love for her newborn child is a physical manifestation of how God sees and feels about us 24/7. I mean not just from I just wrote but I am sure you as a mother know how your heart just leaped and was filled with butterflies when you your child smiled for the first time or how your soul was moved from hearing their laughter for the first time the depth of those feelings for a mother who adores her child is deeper than the ocean itself and if a mother is a physical manifestation of How God feels for us then I can only begin to imagine how much deeper he must feel for us

I think that kind of love is from God.

I often think that men miss out in this way - this beautiful creation you brought into the world, this creation moulded by God Himself...I can still remember the feelings I had following the birth 33yrs ago and I feel sorry for those mothers who do not immediately gel with their babies - it has to be hormonal I guess.

on mothers day I wrote a poem on a free poem site and I wrote about all this in a poetic form and I was barraged by messages from mothers who told me they were in tears from what I wrote and said I truly understand the heart of a mother as If I have had experience as one. Now obviously as a guy I have not had any experience as one and quite frankly I have never had a loving mother aside from my adopted mom's here in cc which I only gained a few years ago so normally a person like me would not have the slightest clue how you as mothers feel but I suppose that's just the kind of person I am in Christ I can connect to others emotionally and spiritually I put myself in their shoes sort of speak i even without meaning to feel the pain they do inside.

Maybe people such as me were purposely created because few others truly connect and understand others, I was mocked from my poem by my guy friends they said I must be a women but the impact god made in those mothers hearts that day is to this day a treasure that I covet in my heart

when you are exhausted come home and fall onto the bed thinking to yourself sleeeeeeeep♥

I was just stirring the pot with my question, blain.
