Yes, it's two years old, many members who posted on it were banned or left the site. Please do not pull zombie threads forward unless you check the create date and whether who you're responding to is still here, was banned, or hasn't logged in for awhile. In the case of the OP, and dandilion, they haven't been online since August 2014. Zombie threads push more relevant threads down the page, and are a pain in the keister.. lol

He has been getting steadily worse over the past seven years we have been together . Mostly verbal abuse at first . Lots of angry unprovoked outbursts. Perhaps I should have left the first time he yelled at me but I loved him so much I stayed .

I have prayed for God to heal him over the past couple of weeks. He did go get a prescription for his medication and began taking it again . It didn't help much when he was on it before but it did help a little . I have had friends pray with me for God to heal him .
I'm not sure if I should leave for good or just live in separate houses for awhile . I deserve a better partner than this ! Has anyone been in this situation before ? I would love to hear from anyone out there .

Let me be a bit clear because I know that it always sounds like we think we are better than our husbands because we are the sensitive creatures and men seem to care more about making themselves happy not realizing all the while that they are being singleminded and only thinking about themselves rather than the welfare of the whole fsmily

when I said one has to sacrifice it didn't mean that I am patting myself on the back thinking look st me sacrificing for my husbands mistakes. It is more waiting on the Lord to wake him up and a stop striving to make my husband see from my perspective his selfishness

i trust the Lord in time. If we let HIM in HIS way and not in our own ways do what we can't do

So just do what you should continue to do and wait on The Lord

Fantastic take. Irrespective of the date of initial post, topics such as domestic violence and relationship issues are so worthy in being discussed. The relevancy in society today in many christian homes and otherwise calls it for it - keep it up.
