This is the only video you posted Stephen63 that I approve of and can say an AMEN to. If you post more like this it would be awesome. Those others you post don't let the rest of the message be heard.
Quite often people misunderstand messages like this that say "as He is so are we in this world" We are seen IN Christ. When God looks at us He sees Jesus. We have Jesus righteousness and are no longer guilty. We are new creations., We are heirs and joint heirs with Christ. We are also king priests too. We are also sheep of His pasture. We are also saints and we are also sons. We are servants and slaves no more to sin but instead to Christ.
I'm glad you posted this video because it means you listened to it even though you thought it was awful.
When in actuality you posted something that I hope causes some major questions about who people think they are now IN Christ. Have many believers ever considered what it really means to be IN Christ? There is more than what we first heard. As we grow and learn there is always more to understand.
The reason we can take the grace offered is because of Christ. We get what we do not deserve IN Christ. We get blessed when we should have been cursed., because of Christ. We get saved when we should have been lost., because of Christ.
We died as sinners on the cross and now we are sons of God because of Christ. He did it all. Acknowledging these awesome truths will change our lives. When Adam sinned, we all sinned and were as guilty as Adam even before we did anything. All we had to be-was born. We were born into Adam's sinful race. Guilty and doomed to die without hope.
We were also cursed and had punishment coming because we could not pay for our sin. We had no hope in Adam. Someone had to save us if we were to be saved.
When Jesus came and became the God-man., He re did the mess Adam made (Jesus became the 2nd Adam) and Jesus gave us a way out. Those who accept Jesus as Savior have been given His righteousness as a gift. We have the promises and can claim them as ours because they are solidly paid for by Jesus Christ. We have a legal and judicious claim because of Jesus. Without Jesus we have nothing. In Christ we have everything.
Do you see the correlation? In Adam all die. In Christ all who receive Him will live.

JP summary - We are Christ. All our failures, sins, who we are is irrelevant, God only sees Christ.
The answer to temptation and sin is to see who we are in Christ. -
Now I would say the answer to temptation is the cross, our love for Christ and what is right, and
if we sin repentance, confession and acceptance of Christs forgiveness.
And the power of the walk is love working through our lives transforming us, so the old man dies
and is remade into the new man progressively as Christ works through our lives and heals and
teaches us His ways through obedience and transformation of our minds through the word,

power of God in our hearts, seeing the ultimate expression of love and acceptance means nothing
is not worth fighting through and changing in us and for Him.
But to take the power of the cross and let the soul rot is to deny the power of the gospel.
Legalists fail because they want obedience through order and not transformation of the heart so
obedience is fruit of love set free to reign within. So ofcourse those who know their failure and

I am very much against charismatic/pentecostal movement, word of faith, prosperity gospel etc doctrines, but I have seen nothing wrong with this one video.
I dont know this man, I dont know any TV evangelist (I am not even sure what this word means).
I rather read classic Christian books from first centuries or from the time of reformation... and its my advice to anybody who is worried about today's wolves. Commercial TV will never be a trustworthy source of truth.

I am at the point I am wondering why people respond to this nonsense anymore. Its like feeding the animals. You feed them they keep coming back.
Resist them, and they have no audience. they will stop.

Well abigail we are having a Bible discussion and it has to do with how the Bible tells us to confront and expose false teachings who ever they may be and in what form it make take. Please read Ephesians 5:11, and Acts 20:28-31. I also notice you work at his church so invite him here and some of us will confront him on his heretical teachings. However, you should know that his words are already in print by way of books, sermons and videos for everybody to see for themselves. Don't you check or compare what somebody is teaching you by checking to see if it "jives" with the Bible? Read Acts 17:11.

Someone mentioned we should open attack threads against Stephen, Because we have enough on him, That would be ore scriptural. Because at least stephen has a chance to defend himself (not that it would help) They are attacking a man who has never been here, and who can not defend himself.
When Jesus attacked the pharisees. He attacked them to their face, or while they were standing there. Only to the disciple (In private) did he attack them when they were not near.

it's good to know that you go for the first century doctrine. Because this is exactly what was preached by the apostolic church fathers in the first 300 yrs of church history.
Anyone who doesn't understand this has not studied what was taught in the first century. Remember that pauls epistles were the very first doc of the church in circulation even before the synoptic gospels.

If people who appreciate Joseph Prince are allowed to post clips of his preaching and quotes from his writing and devotionals, then others that don't care for his preaching and content should be allowed to voice their opinions as well.
If I understand this forum, it is for discussion of Christian and Biblical principles and topics. Why get upset if someone disagrees with your position? We should be here to see if we can learn from one another.
If we try to narrow this forum down to a certain persuasion of doctrine, then we are just perpetuating the ongoing saga of church splitting and denominational squabbling going on all around us.
That said: we need to be fair, open, honest, and true with the content of what post.

That is a great teaching about how we started in our Christian life on Christ's work and we live our life by the same way - completely dependent on Christ and what He has already done for us. This releases the life of Christ in us as a fruit and the things not of God fall off us like dead leaves.
Works-based salavionists hate this truth because it exposes their religion for what it is.
What these heretic hunters do is take snippets of parts of what is said "without the context". This is called being deceitful. - It is a work of the flesh.
And no one has to agree 100% with what any one says but to malign them the way some so-called Christians do is ungodly behavior and is a sign of either being a baby Christian as 1 Peter 2:1-12 shows that those full of malice, envy, deceit, slander and hypocrisy.
Jude 1:12-16 talks about that their are those amongst us are "hidden reefs" which cause us to be shipwrecked in our faith in what Christ has done for us.
I will let the Lord decide who is a "hidden reef" and who is a baby Christian because they seem to act the same.
