Certain things are either "funny" or "bad"..... depending upon whether or not certain people WANT them to be funny or bad at the moment. (It's called "situational ethics.")
People just don't make sense, I know I sure don't lol

I actually recognize most (not all) of those, and Honeycomb has always had special meaning to me, since I have fond memories of singing it with my dad. Gosh, The Diamonds still have it! What a treasure trove, and a great pleasure; thanks for sharing, Willie :D

Fun review! You are older than me, I didn't really start to listen to the radio till 1965, but hey, these were the "Golden Oldies" of my day!

To say nothing of the fact that I used to play some of these when I was in a band in the 1970's and played some of these happy rockers!

President-elect Donald Trump is in briefing sessions and will be given the so-called “crown jewels” of our national intelligence, which includes knowledge of all spy operations here and abroad and any dire threats facing our country and the world.

Of course, I realize the necessity of our new president being prepared for decision-making after he gives his oath of office, but I can’t even imagine the intensity of that grave knowledge suddenly being placed on his shoulders. What an immense responsibility!

A retired official who participated in past briefings for previous White House administrations stated to CNN, “New guys may come in feeling good, but after they walk out of one of those briefings, their faces fall.”

It does seem every U.S. president that’s ever been elected comes into office with optimism written all over them and goes out with plenty of new rugged lines etched into their faces and looking 10-20 years older.

I hope we can all agree to pray in faith that President-elect Donald Trump hears God speak to his heart, that he calls upon the Lord to guide him in his decision-making, and that he finds his strength in the faith of Jesus Christ. I also hope that his new administration will pray together and that there will be spiritual renewal in our nation. :)

Roy Orbison gave us "Only The Lonely." It was "our song" for me and my first little love.

I have to admit that I do like trumps conciliatory tone he has taken since becoming the president elect. I don't want the other side to suffer. I want us all to have opportunity for our children. I want us to be safe from people coming across the border that would do us harm. I want everyone to have the means to get healthcare for their families. I also want people to come to Jesus and realize that you have to work and put one foot in front of the other and contribute to society.

I think the retribution crowd is gonna be shocked by how much sorrow they have forced on people and how much death it has caused.
That would be "the sorrow of the world worketh death" which is not the sorrow the Holy Spirit brings to a saved person's heart after they have sinned knowingly. The Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin so He is leading people to confess and forsake their sin so they are turning from darkness to life.... none of this causes death except death to the leading of the flesh back in to sin.

Trump says even he mentioned he doesn't ask the lord for forgiveness & believes in personal works so i don't believe he was chosen by God.
He has since clarified that he does pray and walk with the Lord as best he knows how... he will definitely grow in the Lord as POTUS cause that's a hard job where one needs the Lord to keep them from going bizerk

Ah yes... ye olde pharmakeia devil leading people to trust in the arm of the flesh / wisdom of mankind for their physical health instead of the Lord Who has already paid for sickness and disease along with sin at the Cross.

I've seen lots of Christians go medical and die young... and God has to sit by and allow it to happen because other Christians teach them to go to the doctor (arm of the flesh / wisdom of mankind) instead of trusting the Lord, eating right, exercising and other common sense heath management choices.

May as well get some life insurance on 'em so they can have a nice looking casket in a nice cemetery with a nice burial service so friends and family can all cry together and make each other feel better with grief

I was 10 that year. My brothers and sisters were in their teens and used to buy the records so I was very aware of
Rock and Roll. Our radio and television was very conservative then and didn't cater for a teen audience. Most of them used to tune into radio Luxembourg which played all the latest songs. Only problem was that reception was often bad.
