Well I'm trying hard to trust in God and let him guide my life. My marriage is over and I am pretty much a single mom now. My soon to be ex-husband decided he does not want to be a husband or a father to our almost one year old son. I found out that I will not have a job after June (I work at a school). So I'm trying to find God's will on how to raise my son on my own and what to do for a job.
 
Your ex is rather immature and irresponsible based on that, if I had a child, I would care for it.
 
Indeed! One can't go away from the responsibility when having a child together. That is just very immature, and shows that he lacks manhood.
A real man takes the responsibility for a family, he doesn't just quit out of it like how you do it with a job. I hope that he will be getting more right with his mind again sometime soon. And that God will open up his eyes more too.

God will be taking good care for you and your son. Try looking at the small blessings first, those are the ones which also are a part of the big blessings. :)
 
ThAt is such a shame. I don't have any children, but wish I was blessed with them.
Yet there are those in the world who have them and don't realize or appreciate what special gift that God gave them.

I don't think I'll ever get the chance to have a kid in my earthly life but I adore my two nephews. It's sure tough raising a kid, what more to say on your own. Pray that the Lord will give you the strength to go on and provide you in times of your needs.

That's a beautiful quote -- we learn obedience through our suffering -- we learn how to love God.

In the same boat as u -- God has been here the whole time -- He is teaching me to detach my mind from the situation -- I can't carry the burden anymore--and it isn't mine to carry.

I don't know what God will do involving the father -- but I must trust that He has full control and direct us.
 
Well, my mother was in the same boat as you. Except my father left her for a man. Despite having a thoughtless father herself (He blamed her), and a church congregation that was not exactly supportive and at the best misguided and had a tendancy to speak before thinking, she stayed the course, trusted God and made it through. Both my brother and I have made it, and frankly because of the situation, I eventually found Christ. That was one of my earthquakes. Of course I was 16 and my brother 12 at the time so things were a little different for her.

Seriously though, he will end up regretting this decision.

I am in the same situation. My wife wanted me out and she has our 2 kids. We have been together 19 years and married 12. I have been learning to rely on God and trust that he ALWAYS has our ultimate good in mind. Even if that means suffering the rest of our lives. It is not easy, I struggle everyday but it is getting easier. Keep reading scripture, and praying. He will carry u through it. May God bless you with your trial.

Good reply Gal, however Our God is good and he knows our needs. Pray, be patient and wait on the Lord. Your faith and trust will give you all you need. Trust the Lord
