I lurve Bon Jovi. Mom is a big fan so I hear about him and that he's the best artist (to my mom) growing up. It kinda got instilled in my brain. Dad had his hair cut to look like Bon Jovi in the 80s to lure mom.

With that said, yeah maybe it was the boss.

A good friend of mine was working construction on Bon Jovi's house. One of his coworkers saw Bon Jovi and told him his wife was a big fan and asked for an autograph for his wife. Bon Jovi was gracious and signed something. The next day the construction worker was informed he was fired because Bon Jovi complained. Thoughts?

On a side note, years ago I went to a pub in Bon Jovi's hometown and the drummer of his band walked in. He looked at me, I gave a nod and thanked him for rocking out. He thanked me and we drank our beers like mature adults.

I don't like to snitch on people unless I have to. One might wonder why Bon Jovi thought he had to snitch.

I actually regret mentioning him by name in the thread. I think it would have been more honorable to share the story without mentioning any names. Unfortunately what's done is done. I know better for now on.

When hubby became a new believer (before I knew him), he'd go out on service calls and witnessed to customers. He was fired. He realized he should have been fired for "Give unto Caesar..."

Yeah, we don't confuse pleasure with work. We owe our bosses work, not fun. We over customers respect.

We're more like you, thank the famous person for what he gave us and keep walking. (Joey Bishop outside of one of the Casinos in Atlantic City for us. Jersey -- the state with many famous people in it. lol) They're not working when we see them, so shouldn't have to expect to be on their clock.

What town does Bon Jovi live in? (I know Bruce is from Freehold. Bruce is more my era than Jon.)

He's a very giving guy. He helped folks after Hurricane Sandy hit the shores. He helps the poor in Camden. And just recently, a news story came out that Ben Franklin's tombstone was cracking from all the coins thrown on it. (People treat it like a wishing well.) The park system had a gofundme page because fixing it would cost taxpayers too much and they needed another $20,000 to go. Bon Jovi donated $10,000 the next day. I don't know if he's a believer, but he is a very giving guy.

What does that have to do with this post? And his "activism" has helped many people without worrying about their politics.

I'm not calling your friend a liar but I have a hard time believing he would do this. I don't know him personally but I know some of his family. His cousin actually. John Bon Jovi spent his summers here with his Grandparents and still comes here to visit his Aunt and family. He has a good reputation for being really curtious to wait staff and tips really well. Again I'm not saying your friend is a liar and I'm not a huge fan of his music it's just he has a really good reputation for being a nice person, at least he does here in my city.
