As a Christian conservative American citizen, I disagree with many of the Democrat (Liberal) positions, including Pro-choice policies and non-traditional marriage, as well as reliance on entitlement programs and excessive government controls and influence on society.
THE BIBLE ORDAINS THAT OFFICERS OF THE LAW AND STATE AUTHORITY ARE TO BE HONORED, AS CHRIST HONORED THEM, AND NOT PERSECUTED OUT OF REVENGE FOR THE ABUSES OF A FEW. THEY ARE JUST DOING THEIR JOB, AND IT IS NOT AN EASY ONE, AND IT IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY IF LAWS OR POLICIES NEED TO BE REFORMED.
In my opinion, outgoing President Obama is a gentleman, and represented America with a stable, reliable, personable presence during his historic presidency as the first African-American citizen to hold the highest office in the USA.
I also approved of President Obama's efforts towards justice reform.
Officers of the law are to be honored and respected at all times, regardless of the condition of state oversight and policies of law enforcement designed to protect peaceful citizens from exploitation or violent crime, or from those who disregard reasonable laws.
As a steadfast, passionate, determined advocate of justice reform in America, which is ordained by God as a sign of His return ("I have come to announce freedom to all who are imprisoned upon the earth (spiritual bars, or iron bars)" --Jesus of Nazareth, I was amazed and grateful for President Obama's efforts to reform the worst abuses known to mankind of "concentration camp-type" archaic and inhuman imprisonment, such as solitary confinement without trial of teens (Black teen Kalief Browder), that is based on sophisticated psychological involuntary, subconcious thought reform techniques and physical/social/psychological parameters that are strategicallly designed to target and destroy, permanently, any remaining semblance of humanity in human beings who may or may not be guilty of crimes for which they are imprisoned, often for sentences that are longer than 10 times in excess of what a modern society would consider to be "justice," and clearly, without question--crystal; Amount to "cruel and unusual punishment," under any definition of modern physical or psychological definitions of punishment. These systems are going to be removed and replaced soon, as the New Millenium dawns, according to the will of God for a just, peaceful, civilized society when "the meek inherit the earth." This is because of the archaic cruelty towards low-level offenders, many of whom commit suicide, including countless women, who have had their lives devastated often by arbitrary, archaic and illogical outdated legalism that has had no effect whatsoever on reducing crime, except to isolate clearly dangerous offenders, and which has created state-dependent, institutionalized individuals, most of whom are permanently damaged to the point where they can never return to a normal life within society. It is also a justice system that caters to the rich and fills prisons with the poor and minorities, a system so traumatic for first-offenders and law abiding citizens such as Graduate student, "Sandra Bland," that young people with their whole lives ahead of them have committed suicide within hours or days of entering these animal cages.
For Sandra Bland, "cruel and unusual punishment," began when she was violently assaulted by a racist officer for a turn-signal violation, and ended three days later, like Jesus in the tomb, when her "inner-prison of darkness" of depression caused the "outer prison of darkness" to become too much for a human being to endure.
This is the definition of "cruel and unusual punishment," which is a clear violation of the Constitution of the United States of America.
America is supposed to be the land of the free; Not the prison capital of the world.
We enjoyed President Obama's visit here to Alaska.
