Spend a night or two in solitary confinement in a real prison and then we can talk.
Someone beat me to it. Why should a law abiding citizen what to spend time in prison to know what it feels like? Keep your nose clean and you wont ever have to experience it.

Do you exaggerate this much on other subjects, too? (".... losing their minds in there within hours.")
This is not an exaggeration whatsoever. There was a news story about a man who was arrested for a low-level offense who was a former sports star who was thrown into solitary confinement without even being told why. He did essentially begin to lose his mind within hours and tried to commit suicide within hours of being in solitary confinement. There have been dozens of low-level offenders, drug addicts and intoxicated people here in my city and people with serious medical issues who have died in prison here over the last 2 years, some of whom were begging for medical treatment as guards taunted them. One mentally ill person was tortured to death on camera over about a week and denied medical attention. There is outrage in this state over prison abuses, prosecutorial misconduct, and in one case, a person employed in a crime lab who apparently stole heroin and meth, almost daily for 8 years. There are efforts to overturn every case he testified against in the interest that employees of the justice system be held to the same strict standards of legalism and abuses of investigators and prosecutors bypassing the rule of law, and targeting individuals without scrutiny of the community with clandestine investigations and assumptions that people are guilty before proven innocent. Many of these individuals have free-reign over electronic systems and can invade cell phones and manipulate and delete cell-phone texts.

Do you know how many college students and high school students have had their lives destroyed by being traumatized by being arrested for something stupid? ;Many of these people suffer from PTSD and have every right to bring a law suit against the government for "cruel and unusual punishment." The worst-case scenario, one that Obama quoted in his reforms of solitary confinement, was Kalief Browder, an african-american teen who was held in solitary confinement for over 2 years without a trial for allegedly stealing a backpack. His attorney wept when he herd of his suicide after he was released and so damaged psychologically that he could not return to a normal life in society even though he tried to go to college.'

He just said, "he was a good kid."

She was asked to put out her cigarette, whenshe refused to put out her cigarette that's when the officer asked her to step out of the car. There's no reason to ask someone to exit the vehicle over a simple traffic stop. What she refused to get out of the car, that's when he grabbed her and pulled her out of the car. He then moved her out of view of the camera where you can hear her screaming that he was slamming her head into the ground. When you're a police officer you were going to look out for people who are belligerent or have a nasty attitude. That's what is your job as a professional to de-escalate the situation. The officer did the exact opposite. A fireman doesn't bring gasoline to put out a fire.. he could have just as easily issued her a citation and sent her on her way

Couldn't be stated better. I think 99 percent of officers would agree with you. She did not have to be arrested, only given a warning. That officer was fired by the way. But what killed Sandra Bland was going from being a graduate student to being treated like an animal in a cage. This is why her family can sue the prison for "cruel and unusual punishment," and take it all the way to the Supreme Court. I hope someone will pass that on to them. At the same time, this does not give anyone a right to used violence or deadly force against innocent police officers. Those who deliberately and methodically target police officers or ambush them should possibly face the death penalty, if it was proven beyond any reasonable doubt. But the problem of course, is that many innocent people have been put to death after having been convicted "beyond any reasonable doubt."

"The war on drugs is over; and we lost.
That is a shame, cannabis is not as harmless as people try to say it is.
And every state promoting it are actualy breaking the law by doing so.

Despite medical cannabis laws in states, cannabis is still illegal under federal law.
The federal government regulates drugs through the Controlled Substances Act
(CSA) (21 U.S.C. § 811)

Under the CSA, cannabis is classified as a Schedule I drug, which means that the
federal government views cannabis as highly addictive and having no medical value.
-

On November 8, voters in California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada legalized
recreational marijuana. These states joined Colorado, Washington, Oregon and
Alaska in approving the psychotropic drug for recreational use.

Voters in Florida, North Dakota, Montana and Arkansas cast a ballot to legalize marijuana for medical use only. Taken together, these new ballot measures mean that marijuana is now legal in some form in 28 states. Opponents of these legalization measures point out that such legalization is creating a popular perception that cannabis is good for your health.

A Gallup poll from October shows that 60 percent of Americans now favor legalizing marijuana,
despite evidence that the plant contains more than 400 known chemicals, many of which are toxic to the human body.

The amount of tar and carbon monoxide inhaled by those who smoke marijuana is respectively three and five times greater than that inhaled by tobacco smokers, regardless of tetrahydrocannabinol content. And unlike alcohol, in which ethanol is eliminated within a few hours, marijuana residues can stay in the body for weeks. Marijuana use can also seriously damage respiratory and cardiovascular health, causing chronic coughing, wheezing and bronchitis. Smoking a relatively small amount of marijuana has a similar impact to smoking five to seven times the amount in cigarettes, one after another.

Numerous studies prove that smoking anything is harmful to our lungs.

-

God says we should glorify Him in our bodies: “Do you not know that your body is a temple
of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were
bought with a price. So glorify God in your body” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

We are watching marijuana change from a counterculture banned substance
into a mainstream recreational aid.

I NEVER date a girl who carries a gun.

It's only a matter of time before I say something really stupid.

Breaking News:
Man gunned down today at Frozen Yogurt shop.
As his girlfriend was hauled away in cuffs, she said,
"I told him he wasn't funny, but he just kept goin."

If a woman shoots me, I had it coming.

What is also concerning is, it is not necessarily coming out of the ground into the consumers hands. They are enhancing it with chemicals and toxins.

Maybe we should require everyone who has mental illness to have it tattooed on their forehead so the police know not to arrest them for violating the law.
Because people should totally go to jail for not putting out a cigarette

"playing up the seriousness of these problems..." ? You don't believe that these issues of abuses of police power are serious? Even if it is only by a few trigger happy inexperienced, incompetent, or over-worked, or even malicious individuals and sub-groups of state employees and cops?
But, it's a two-edged issue: There is no justification whatsoever for targeting innocent officers of the law for the actions of a few, or for outdated, ineffective, and dangerous agency policies. Police officers are only doing their jobs, and the vast majority of them are ethical and honorable defenders of the peace and reasonable laws.

I tend to agree with President-elect Trump, that those who willfully, intentionally, and methodically, target police officers and/or ambush them--the death penalty or life in prison could be considered as options, in theory, but, I have a hard time supporting the death-penalty because of the danger of innocent people being put to death or individuals who might be set-up or black-mailed by unethical agents of the government or wealthy unethical secret-societies or other cults of darkness, some of whom have the funds and training to use sophisticated methods--including coercing vulnerable people--to target innocent citizens. I think the death-penalty might be reserved for those for which there is unmistakeable evidence such as a preponderance of video support and credible witnesses without a history of suspicious activity.
funny..... I hear the "Twilight Zone" music playing in the background....

If anyone targets a police officer for death, if caught and convicted, they should be executed in less than 2 weeks.

Do not pass "GO", do not collect $200.....

Absolutely. Some of the practices of the soon to be replaced prison and justice system are so archaic and inhuman and unjust, including justice to the highest bidder, that they make ISIS look like security guard dropouts.
Sorry, that's just a TAD bit hyperbolic....

President Obama’s own bestselling 1995 autobiography Dreams From My Father shows
that he was profoundly influenced by Frank Marshall Davis, and by many others who were
at least sympathetic to Marxist ideology. Barack Obama’s ideological roots are far more
radical than the general public has been led to believe.

IN THE MIND OF FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS, THE GREATEST
THREAT TO THE WORLD WASN’T THE SOVIET MENACE,
BUT “ANGLO-AMERICAN IMPERIALIST DOMINATION.”

In every way posible Omama cracked down on our rights by being lawless.
but when it comes to world affairs, He has let most everyone walk all over us.

None of us were present. A failure to signal, speeding, etc sometimes indicates other things in the making.
And for that, apparently, she received the death sentence, dying alone in an animal cage, most likely because she was black--is this justice in America? The land of the free?

She should have never been arrested in the first place. The officer was clearly on a power trip. He could have issued her a citation and sent her on her way.

How are those trumpeter swans of yours going? Are we going to see more and more of them now that Trump is in power?

Here are the famous Trumpeter Swans that led me to support Trump, that appeared at the dock at a remote Alaska lake the day Ted Cruz dropped out of the race. I believed, and still do, that this was a sign from God and a confirmation that Mr. Trump was the best candidate for the job considering some of the issues of a liberal opposing candidate, such as the deaths of 58 million unborn American citizens in the womb. This is an atrocity in the eyes of God, or "horrifying," as Hillary said in one debate, about Mr. Trump not accepting the voter outcome. I wonder who those 58 million would have voted for? Mr. Trump's election was also a confirmation of how much God values public repentance, good stewardship of assets, and a leader who is not afraid to make command decisions in serious times, with good advisors. This was also a general conservative
swans1.jpg swans2.jpg swans3.jpg swans4.jpg swans55.jpg confirmation of God's disapproval of alternate marriage.

God speaks to us in different and unique ways. I had my own "trumpeter" moment. Family!
