You gotta like one who listens.

NIV seems to be pointing to works salvation to me. What are we supposed to DO to present ourselves approved?
KJV and NIV have 2 completely different meanings.
2 Timothy 2:15New International Version (NIV)
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
Yes NIV is the more accurate translation from the Greek,
Definition
- to hasten, make haste
- to exert one's self, endeavour, give diligence
What part of my statement did you not understand?
I have no idea why you think a translation can't be inspired. That makes it seems as though God can't do it, which is most certainly not true.

Yeah I know what you said. Have you asked God or are just waiting around for him tell you.
I think I get it now... Do you believe that we have to work to please God or maintain our salvation?

Which manuscript line is that verse in the NIV from? Is it the same line as KJV?
No, I dont believe we have to work to be saved.
I believe we have to make every efford to be good servants and to get the good word in the end.

I'm grace only, I don't believe I have to do anything but believe God and it will be counted as righteousness for me.

I am Bible only, I believe everything Bible says. So I believe also in that we must not be lazy servants and that my faith must be visible on my deeds.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. [SUP]32 [/SUP]All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; [SUP]33 [/SUP]and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
[SUP]34 [/SUP]“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. [SUP]35 [/SUP]For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; [SUP]36 [/SUP]naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ [SUP]37 [/SUP]Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? [SUP]38 [/SUP]And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? [SUP]39 [/SUP]When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ [SUP]40 [/SUP]The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
These words of Jesus seem to point toward a lot of "doing", instead of just "being" and basking in the sunlight of salvation...
[SUP]33 [/SUP]and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
1. It is not true, that the word "study" is only in the KJV.
"Carefully study..." Douay-Rheims Bible
"Study..." Webster's Bible Translation
"Study..." Jubilee Bible 2000
2. "Study" is not the right translation. The meaning is much broader, not just about studying.
The better translation is:
"Make every effort..." Berean Study Bible
"Do your best..." ESV, NIV, ISV
"Be diligent..." NASB
"Hasten..." Berean Literal Bible
Strong's Greek: 4710. σπουδή (spoudé) -- haste, diligence
from Strongs 4704:You beat me to it. but the Study used in KJV is the verb
Strong's Number: 4704 spoudavzw

Sunlight? Basking? LOL, don't you mean basting...
