Yeah, so good to see you. Missed you tons.

Wow this is on page 2700. Pretty sure when I left it wasn't even to 1000...maybe it was?

Anyway, hello for a moment. Life has sucked lately but I'm making baby steps towards progress. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello :)

I sometimes ask myself at the age of 29: When am I not going to be an awkward 18 year old who can sit in a chair and be comfortable.

If my week was anything like a Youtube video, Monday would be like that one video that won't let you skip the ads.

Hi Rachel! It's great to hear from you, mate. Been too long since I've seen you on CC. :) Yeah, I can't say my life has been great for the past couple years either. We'd love for you to pop in a little more regularly if you feel up to it. God bless you, sis.

I started getting comfortable with the idea of being comfortable in my own
skin in my forties... I hope it happens sooner for you... but don't rush it :D
PS~I am still working on it... and made much progress :)

Ouch. You maybe on to something here. Also would say late 30's, maybe around 40, I started being comfortable with who I am.

Why don't you feel comfortable within yourself? Learn to love and be confident with the amazing way God made you, with all your attributes and talents. Remember you're developing into an improved version of yourself all the time!

Twenty nine was a bit of a bad year for me. That was the year I got married.
I planned to get married because I was pregnant, and wanted to do what I thought
would be "the right thing." Because we had been pregnant before, and had a first
trimester miscarriage, we did not start planning the wedding until I was out of the
first trimester. However, about ten days before we were to say "I do" I lost the baby.
They call it losing the baby, but it was really a second trimester stillbirth. Maybe the
baby could even have lived if they had tried to save it, but no such rescue mission
was mounted, and the end result was a devastating stillbirth. My twenties sucked :p

I find myself in situations and locations where I don't understand why I am there. Confidence and love are things that I need to work on. Also, I have a moment right now where I think to "Sleep... I ain't got time for that".

I'm almost convinced that rather than working on our weaknesses first, I think what works is knowing who we are in Christ first and foremost, and I don't think an average Christian actually does know who they are in Christ, creating an 'insecurity' of a different kind.

For starters, it's most beneficial for us to know that we're fearfully and wonderfully made, that we're so loved that Jesus would leave 99 sheep (who can stand together) than let that one get lost without any hope of ever finding their way home; that Christ died for us knowing that we'll make mistake after mistake in life, yet Jesus' love remains, for us, ever the same.

I agree. If you don't know what you were made for you can find yourself feeling inadequate BC you're in the wrong place

Yes, it was, thank you for acknowledging that :) It is well behind me now...
more than half my life ago, and to remember sometimes seems like telling
the story of another person's life. Not because I am disconnected from my
own story, no, but because it was a different time and place and I understand
so much better now all the things that lay buried and festering in me then that
I could not face, things that contributed to me repeating the cycle of failure and
loss and pain. And I was not saved. That did not happen for another twenty years! :D

They're not gonna ban you. You are not one of the ones who argued endlessly in the wars that raged in the BDF over HG so you have nothing to worry about :) Unless I missed something ;););):D

I should be in bed right now  I just made some "Restful Sleep" tea :D

I made the decision to get out of bed and make tea...
