How does the world get to a point where some guy can show up, claim to be some prophet and spray his congregants with insect killer in the name of casting out evil spirits & to heal the sick and STILL have a congregation?
I've heard even worse. One pastor supposedly had his unmarried female congregants bow down naked on the beach so he could kiss their behinds to "bless" them with husbands.

Kid you not.

I ordered large fries.

But oh my gallbladder, that is terrible. Poor people, their need is genuine yet being taken advantage of.
The elevator probably doesn't go all the way up to the top in some of these people. But some of it is on them for being willing to accept anything in the name of spirituality. Even baby Christians can see something off about that.

Tell me about it.

I have a story to tell. (I'll leave out names.) A few days ago, one of my friends on Facebook posted something about Christmas and another lady who was a friend of hers got on the post and attacked everyone who celebrated Christmas. She said it's not in the Bible, called people who celebrate Christmas pagan and even implied they were actual demons and said they need to be put back in hell (not just condemning people to hell in the first place, which was bad enough, but taking it even a step further and saying they came from hell). I mean, she was really going for it. Now I personally don't judge people by whether or not they celebrate Christmas, because if they prefer to do so or not to, I think it's a matter between them and the Lord. But what amazed me was what she said next. In the midst of all this, she turned right around and said (referring to Jesus), "He is not a Capricorn, He is a Libra....the scales that balance the earth" (I'm quoting as best I can because her posts are gone now).

I was like, hold up...how are you condemning people for celebrating Christmas but then turn right around and believe in the zodiac and astrology, which the Bible actually condemns? Seems to me like you would know exactly what the Bible says on the matter. Not only that, but she put Jesus in it and tried to make it Christian. But then when I called her out on that, she twisted Scripture to try to say that believing in astrology and horoscopes and that kind of madness is okay. So I blocked her after that blatant rewriting of Scripture.

Then the you-know-what really hit the fan. This lady tried to get my friend on Facebook (whose Christmas post it was) to block me, but my friend wouldn't do it. So the rampage lady blocked my friend for not blocking me for calling out rampage lady on her mess.

Ay ay ay.

But hey, 'tis the season, right? *Christmas music plays*
I would have kept her for future shaming. :p but then again, "answer not a fool according to his folly"

She was probably furious she couldn't convince you.

speaking of weird things preachers/pastors do and people let them...

the other day (which could mean yesterday or 5 months ago), dad and i were watching a video of pastors being called out. one of them, a lady was giving a praise report about something going on with her breast (i can't remember if there was cancer or whatnot). anywho, as she was talking, the pastor/preacher/whatnot looked at her breast and actually put his hand on it, feeling on it! no one said anything, which makes me wonder how often does this happen???

it was from another country, so perhaps it's a culture thing. or not. idk.

I'm feeling a little saudade and lonely tonight :(

Although it is not as often anymore and I'm sure it will totally go away as I continue living from faith to faith, some nights it still knocks on my door. I have started developing a mantra, "God loves me, I'm alright, it's just the waves of the sea, eyes on Jesus, He is coming back soon, He loves and cares for me" etc. It has worked for me before and hopefully tonight, as well. #lifeOhLife

i shared a facebook memory today. it's a video of group of us at a friend's apartment singing old school spanish church songs. it was lots of fun. good times. the original video has my friends tagged.

when i shared the video today, the post automatically tags all those originally tagged.

one of the guys untagged himself.

it's not the 1st time he does this.

makes me feel as if he doesn't want to associate himself to fun memories.

of course, i'm just assuming.

I don't think it's that, it's just that being tagged in a friends image means everyone who is friends with that friend can see their name. I don't use my last name at facebook for that very reason, saves me the work of untagging myself :p

You're down with that? Either there's something wrong with our colloquialism, or there's something wrong with Roh. English is so weird sometimes. ;)
I thought that was the Brit way of saying it. I guess the Canadian way of saying the same sentence would be, "Moose maple syrup maple syrup Bieber moose." :p

How do u get the flu when you live in a place where its always hot?

Anyway...sorry to hear that. Hope u feel better soon.
That's a very good question. The weather just turned chill.. And when i say chill, i mean, 78F and I'm down with a flu. This flu is unusual because I feel it every morning, but as the day wears on, I become better. It has persisted for a week now, so i am a bit alarmed. Maybe i should go see a doc... Hmmm..

i hope you feel better Abe. Unfortunately, I am not in possession of such cool, awe-inspiring music as you do *sniggers* but I hope that these words encourage you, nonetheless . :)

Maybe he just doesn't want the notifications...
i've thought of that, too. sometimes, i don't post a congrats on someone's whatnot cuz of them. but i figured out a way to stop notifications of said post.

but i have come to notice that if it's not his gf post or anything related to her, he won't comment/like/be tagged on a post. lol oh wells.

i just need to stop overthinking and get over it.

actually, i don't have time to overthink. there's so much to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

That sounds like sinusitis (inflammation of sinuses). It feels like the flu but it only happens in the morning or at night or when you are physically tired. It can include fever and facial pain. If that's what it is, its basically a form of a cold and usually takes a couple weeks to completely go away. Get plenty of rest and take zinc tablets.
