I don't think all anti-Trump people are like this. I'm not even a Trump fan (but I'm glad he beat Hillary) and this is pretty hilariously disgusting. Have any of you been in contact with people like this yet?

The guy being harassed handled it like a champ. It's fair to say not all Trump supporters are this mature and composed either... a lot can be just as immature as the people attacking the man wearing the t shirt.

Let's admit it, wearing that kind of "T" Shirt is pretty Passive/Aggressively immature.

Is it? If it's something he believes in, I don't see it as immature at all. I believe Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and I own many Christian t shirts. If a bunch of atheists are offended because I am wearing a shirt that represents what I believe, that's on them. Do I wear the shirt knowing some people will have an issue with it (atheists)? Yes... but people will always find a reason to be offended.

The
video seems contrived.
I don't know... It's possible I suppose. This seemed pretty organic to me.

Apparently there is an (unconfirmed) letter of apology from the girl.

Well if its true at least she had the common sense to correct herself. Did the T shirt simply say "build the wall?" I never did see it.

Yeah, if she did write it and this wasn't contrived, then I give her props. We have all acted like a fool before, but not recorded for the world to see.

I never saw his t-shirt either. He only showed the upper part of his chest which was solid black.

Now that I think about it... the part that does seem a bit contrived is how she is talking about the guy being a virgin/never been touched... He's clearly a good looking guy (no homo) and she becomes awfully flirty with her tone and close proximity. lol

And this is you defending your "right" to be politically offensive? I once felt that way, too, but I felt Jesus was telling me not to go out of my way to hurt others.

I guess it depends on the intent of wearing the Christian t-shirt or the #BuildTheWall t-shirt.

I'll speak for myself and not the man here, I wear the shirt because I'm happy to be a Christian. I can express myself when I go for a run or when I want to weight lift by wearing a Christian t shirt. My intention isn't to "offend" atheists, but I wear it fully knowing they will be offended. My intention is to wear what I like. There is nothing "offensive" about wearing what we believe.

If I wore a #BuildTheWall t shirt, I would wear it because it's something I strongly believe in. Just as someone wearing an NRA t shirt believes in our constitutional right to bear arms. I wouldn't be wearing the #BuildTheWall t shirt to "offend" anyone, but I'd fully know some people will be offended by it.

If we preemptively restricted what we did as to not offend someone, then we'd have to be locked up in our homes... assuming we could afford homes... we would need to drive to work to pay for our homes... but people might be offended we are polluting the earth by driving...

Brother, this day in age its almost impossible NOT to offend someone on some subject for some reason, somehow. I dont think we should be up in peoples faces but if the shirt said "build the wall" I dont see that as being wrong to wear. Thats his opinion. We're all entitled to have opinions and we dont need to get offended by every little thing that disagrees with us.This is how this country got in this mess in the first place with its micro aggression's,safe spaces, xenophobia and other made up words. We're all tough enough to hear others opinions and disagree politely and walk away. We had a saying in our day "Im rubber, you're glue, whatever you say bounces of me and sticks to you" Thats how we dealt with micro aggression. We didn't need to be powdered and pampered and given a blankie because our feelings were hurt. So again, that doesn't mean we get up in peoples faces, but it does mean we can all have opinions and be ok. Getting off my soapbox now.

Well, I guess we all read His words from the position and perspective of where we happen to be in our lives. After all, this idea of not going out of my way to put it in other's faces is a very recent thing for me.... actually, just in the last few weeks.

Nice little spin here. A conservative is attacked and you make a derogatory statement about many Trump supporters not being mature and composed. See friends how the manipulation takes place? Smoke must be an elementary school teacher to think we are so naive not to see through his liberal tactics. Try again, smoke.

You are susceptible to emotional manipulation from all directions: from people
you hate, from people you like, and from forces far beyond your control.

If you fail to master your emotions, you are not really running your own life.

Proverbs 25:28 sums it up: “He that hath no rule over his own spirit
is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”

Emotion is not a weakness or a flaw in human beings. It is a characteristic
created by God: It is part of what makes us human! Emotion can be one
of the most enjoyable blessings we possess. Without it, our lives would be
bland, flat, colorless—hardly worth living.

God gave us the power of feelings so we can experience joy and love;
deep relationships; and even anger, jealousy, fear and sadness.

The Creator of human beings is Himself emotional. God experiences love;
He is love (John 3:16; 1 John 4:8, 16). He experiences joy (Matthew 25:21, 23;
Galatians 5:22), hatred (Psalm 11:5; 45:7), anger (Judges 10:7; Psalm 7:11),
indignation (Isaiah 34:2), jealousy (Exodus 20:5; 34:14), concern (Deuteronomy 5:29),
grief (Genesis 6:6; Psalm 78:40), sorrow (Isaiah 53:3) and compassion (Matthew 9:35-36).

God created the human race in His likeness (Genesis 1:26) for the purpose
of growing to become like Him (Matthew 5:48).

Emotion is not an opposite and a counter to reason. These two motivational tools
perfectly complement and enhance each other when you master your emotions.

How skilled are you at handling this critical part of life? Are you easily
offended? Are you prone to emotional outbursts over small issues?

-

“[R]esist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him
the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat,
let him have thy cloke also. …

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate
thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you,
and persecute you” (Matthew 5:39-40, 43-44).

Jesus Christ was mocked, ridiculed, beaten, tortured and crucified—yet His response
was to pray, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34).

This is the absolute opposite of the hypersensitive, exacting, vindictive attitude this
world is deliberately cultivating and which is ripping society apart!

Master Your Emotions

Proverbs 14:29 gives this rock-solid advice: “He that is slow to wrath is of great
understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit [or quick-tempered] exalteth folly.”

Mastering your emotions is not just about being slow to wrath, however. It is also about
cultivating and using emotion. Philippians 4:8 is a powerful summary of how to do that:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there
be any praise, think on these things.”

In stark contrast to self-love, God’s love “is never glad when others go wrong,
love is gladdened by goodness, always slow to expose, always eager to believe
the best, always hopeful, always patient” (1 Corinthians 13:6-7; Moffatt).

This is how we need to respond to slights, offenses, problems and conflicts.
This is the emotional mastery we should work to develop, and not add to the problems today.

I wear Christian shirts for joyful reasons. No atheist has ever approached me. If anyone ever gets upset that's on them. It's not my intention to make anyone upset but if they do, that's not going to minimize my shirt-wearing.

I think this thread was about wearing political shirts where you know it will upset the other party members.
