My childhood cartoon right there....
I am the one who decided that her son would have as normal and stable a life as possible and that that didn't include his mom dating. It was the right decision for me. I've spent time with friends, family, church. I have taken acting classes, traveled and developed as an artist. I have found my strength is living a life where I choose my actions rather than being reactive. It is peaceful and strong. It can be emotionally lonely as most of my single female friends now have men/husbands. I am not closed to meeting someone special but I am not hunting someone to fill a certain role in my life. My son has finished school so that opens up more options for my personal life.
One of the pluses of being single is that it allows me to push myself rather than make excuses for not trying. It is on me now and I am OK with what is to come.
I finally thought of a good answer for this:
I'm the kind of single who wants to talk about other things than being single and dating.
The only kind of single I can be..lol
attracts no one/attracts the wrong one/always friendzoned
Was Donald Trump guy number one and two?I tend to attract strange people
- One guy walked towards me at a bus stop, I assumed he was going to ask me something, he kissed me.
I threatened to bash his brains out, thankfully he took me more or less seriously and walked away.
- Another guy grabbed me between the legs at a concert
-My best (Norwegian) friend in Scotland had to be told every week I wasn't interested in more than friendship
- The only guy who did treat me with respect was too preoccupied with work so it faded into nothingness
