Hey Everyone,

If you're anything like me, making and keeping appointments seems to be my second full-time job.

For some reason, every single appointment I make winds up being split into three, so when I'm not at work, I'm usually running to or waiting for some kind of appointment.

Which appointments do you dread the most and what is it that you don't like about them?

For example, I personally don't mind the dentist, but I HATE having to go for oil changes.

I guess it's because if I'm asked a question about my teeth, I generally know the answer; if you ask me anything about cars, I would have to default to several of our knowledgeable, talented members here in the forums.

In a few minutes, I'm going to attempt to make a poll... I know I can't list every possible answer but I'm going to try to name some of the most common. I am also going to make this a multiple choice and OPEN-ANSWER poll because I thought it would be fun to see how other people answer this question.

Please don't JUST vote in the poll--be sure to give us your reasons, and tell us about any of your appointments you don't see on the list.

Thank you for sharing! :)

I dislike dentists as well, though not quite dread. It's mostly that I don't like having someone messing around with my mouth :p

... and I hate job interviews. Especially when they find that ONE flaw in your CV or grades or whatever and focus on that, as if that is what matters. ... or when they ask you to tell three positive and three negative things about yourself (mainly because I suspect that most people lie, and that the ones that lie the best are likely to get the job).

Oh man...

I should have written my ideas down, because a job interview was actually at the top of the list. (That's what I get for trying to write this after working all night.)

Job interviews are one of the main reasons why I stay at a job so long--I've never left a job unless I moved--because I dread going out and having to be interviewed all over again.

I cant stand going to the Dentist.. Simply because I had my teeth messed up so bad by one that now I have a dead tooth and nearly died thanks to that dentists mistake and my father not wanting to take care of it and waiting too long.. Im always happy when all is well lol

Appoinment for lie detector test. I was once a witness for an administrative case filed against a co worker. It was dismissed due to lack of sufficient evidence. They just gave me stress and wasted my time.

I'm weird, I love going to the dentist. It's relaxing, my dentist and hygienist are so sweet. I always get complimented on taking care of my teeth.

I did not like taking my rabbit to the vet because the dogs barking scared him, but the techs were good about taking us to a back room so he wouldn't be bothered. He doesn't have to go as much, now.

Yup. I can't stand job interviews too. I remember being asked about my greatest success career-wise...and then my greatest failure. My last boss came to my workplace during my lunch hour and interviewed me in my office! He really wanted me on his team and came to see me. Not wanting to sit on the wrong side of the desk (as an interviewee) I decided that we would sit on the two client chairs on the other side of my desk.AWKWARD. My desk was a mess that day, with papers breeding all over the place. Really scary encounter.

Guys have it rough too. I saw one birthday card that said "Happy 40th Birthday! Now bend over." >.<

We... uh... might not can use this post. Maybe a moderator will delete it if it's over the line.

I was sure when I read this poll that dental visits were going to win by a long shot. I work in a dental office and I hear very often from patients that we are not a favorite destination :D

I voted for car maintenance. Typically, you never leave one of those maintenance or service appointments without spending a lot of money :( Also, like Seoulsearch mentioned, I know nothing about cars.
