Unfortunately, I'm allergic to books. If I try to read leisurely for more than 5 minutes I start to stare out the window and end up getting an acute case of spring fever...

- Have you read a book called Leotas garden?

There are a few parts in it that seem to have been put there just to promote the writers view on things, but apart form that it is a really warm and nice book :)

Thanks for the suggestion, and I've tried that but it's the reading part that bores me. I get bored very easily. If it's not absolutely fascinating, I get bored... unless its something I'm required to read like a textbook. I used to study textbooks in my car for extended periods studying for exams.. the 'in my car' part is a long story that I'd rather not get into. I wasn't living in my car though (just in case anyone's wondering).

It sounds like you have to read books that you find fascinating, maybe books about cars? Or something that interests you?

I have a cd of it being acted and narrated by old Hollywood stars. Orson Welles narrates it and Lionel Barrymore stars as Scrooge. It's very good. You're thinking of Tiny Tim. It is very moving, the scene of Christmas Future. I love Bob Cratchitt.

1. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (more a novella than a book)
2. The Divine Comedy by Dante Allighieri
3. Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan
I've read A Christmas Carol, but only bits of The Divine Comedy and Pilgrim's Progress

Pligrim's Progress does, but I've been there done that. That's the pool I swim in already.

Let's try the Divine Comedy.

Okay, I've read bits of The Inferno, it would be kind of bad to go through Hell without getting to Heaven. I hope Holly will want to read it as well. I don't think the book qualifies as horror, but the Inferno bit may.

Alright, then A Christmas Carol. It's actually a novella- but that's okay. Holly might want to read it again as well.

Just going through all of that poetry trying to follow the plot and also interpret what he's saying would be hell for me. Reminds me of a semester of Chaucer. It's like if an author wants to tell a story, then just write a story, don't complicate it with poetry. I don't mind thinking a little bit, but not that hard just for fiction. :D
