I crawl out from my rock just long enough to say "Books are awesome". Some people don't think so, but those people are wrong, and I pity them. I've been binge reading since I left in early November, and it has been magnificent.

I'm judging you, but would never think of taking the books from you.
That would require touching them and possibly looking at them.
Okay, since a separate thread will be created, I'd like to know what everyone is currently reading aside from A Christmas Carol.
I'm reading 3 books right now (and will probably be for a few months because I'm a snail reader):
Database Systems by Carlos Coronel (School stuff)
The Gathering Storm (The Second World War Volume 1) by Winston Churchill
The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey
I guess the world will have to know about my reading habits for me to explain this.
Every Sunday I take it upon myself to read one or two classic sermons. I couple this with my daily Bible devotions and a book from one of (usually) three genres- history, classic literature, philosophy, and theology. I choose these on a rotating basis.
Sunday Devo- Martin Luther's Christmas Sermons (Almost Done)
Daily Devotional- Morning and Evening by Charles Spurgeon
Rotating Book- What is Reformed Theology by RC Sproul/Salems Lot by Stephen King (I'm log-jammed at the moment)
CC Book Club- A Christmas Carol

That's an interesting mix. I've only read "All of Grace" by Spurgeon and I love him already xD. I'm not very much into theology, but I love history and philosophy. The most recent ones I've read are by Ravi Zacharias. I really like this guy too.

Haha, as interesting as what's happening in my home country is, my senior pastor really likes Churchill. So it kinda rubbed off on me. This is his first book I'm reading.
That's cool re: database. What do you do? It's one of my subjects in school for web development. I rarely find computer books helpful, but I like the bit of database history and evolution that came with this one. So I'm rather enjoying it.
I've never read any Spurgeon, but my Baptist buddies are beating me upside the head to give him a shot. So I am. And I'm impressed! He truly was the Prince of Preachers in his place and time. I'll keep "All of Grace" in mind.

You'll have to tell me how that is too. I've only ever read his history through the English Civil War. You'll never find a better-written history book, that is for sure.
I mainly use databases to evaluate voter trends, establish precinct targets, handle survey responses, etc. All political wonkery.
I've read only "Walking From East to West" (somehow I thought I've read more than that, I was probably day dreaming). Have you listened to his sermons too?
I like it, but that's probably because I've already judged this book's cover xD I'm new to his writing style so I'm kinda struggling. My goal for 2017 is to finish The Second World War, hopefully.
