“When dealing with people, let us remember we are not dealing with creatures of logic. We are dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures bristling with prejudices and motivated by pride and vanity.” - Dale Carnegie
This one really helped me grow a little. Shame on me for thinking being right was the same as being righteous, at the time. People are not books that I should read and figure out. They are multi-dimensional individuals; objects of God's love and affection. Most of the time, they know what's right and wrong but still do what they do, for the very same reasons that I do. It puts us all on equal ground and it was only after realizing this that I understood how it is to connect with others in a way that's healthy, happy and honoring to God.
