“When dealing with people, let us remember we are not dealing with creatures of logic. We are dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures bristling with prejudices and motivated by pride and vanity.” - Dale Carnegie

This one really helped me grow a little. Shame on me for thinking being right was the same as being righteous, at the time. People are not books that I should read and figure out. They are multi-dimensional individuals; objects of God's love and affection. Most of the time, they know what's right and wrong but still do what they do, for the very same reasons that I do. It puts us all on equal ground and it was only after realizing this that I understood how it is to connect with others in a way that's healthy, happy and honoring to God.

The wisest words anyone can ever say to another person is; "consider Jesus and what He did...consider Him for yourself".

The last thing a close friend posted before he died of cancer was (ill rephrase it as good as possible..its been a few years) ''Dont stop trying to make people happy. Sometimes the smallest things have the greatest impact. You never know when you may be that person''

and true it is

True friends tell the truth to you

If you gave up (even if its not major but a momentary small defeat ) many others would too (and that should scare you in a good way ) you dont realise how precious your influence (obedience to God a work of God) and how far that sphere of influence reaches. I literally want God to use me so he can change millions, billions of lives so God can touch them with his incredible powerful love. Thankyou Jesus \0/

i mean..... eat your veggies, don't run with scissors, share your toys, and all that other mom stuff. :p

when i was young, i hear someone say, 'don't lend something you can't be okay with not getting back.'

since then, if someone asks me if they can borrow something, i think, sure! and bid a possible goodbye to 'something'.

:)

last year, my daughter gave me a sign that says--

the best things in life are not things

not a bad thing to keep in mind.

At 20, everyone worries about what others think of them.
At 40, everyone stops caring what others think of them.
At 60, they realize no one was thinking of them.

Be wise -- turn 60 at 20.

We would worry a lot less about what others think of us if we only knew how seldom they do.

You can please all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time. And, those are pretty good odds.

Never talk to strangers..... Wait.... we're all strangers here..... Never mind......

wow Utah this is an amazing idea for a thread:D

if i had any wisdom to give I would say that the wise do not always show wisdom and the unwise have their moments lol

You notice more how many appreciate you when you stop caring because you stop being a copy of someone else :p and Those that cant stand u end up ignored because u dont care bout em LOL

I never cared.. my life would have been way different had I.

Men, when walking down the street with someone, always walk between the person you're with and traffic. Women, do the same when walking with children.

And for the love of God, if it's cold enough that you feel the need to wear a hat, make sure you put a hat on a child's head, especially infants. Arrggggg!!!

And don't forget about those cute little booties on those adorable footsies (yes I'm talking about babies) they need them to keep warm, much like the hat

There three things I have seen cause a giant group of people turn from civilized to chaotic- Christianity, politics and football but I have only seen one of them give life.
