lol!! I tend to avoid a lot too unless I feel like I should.. I dunno what advice to give you as we are on the same in that one.
while I was reading what you were saying the only thought I had was ''Id like to go for a coffee with her'' lol!
I do see where your coming from and to be honest.. people tend to fall for stuff as ''Gods voice'' that just simply isnt. So I see your point.
I tend to try to balance my posts out but you cant please everyone and truth hurts. All I can say is go by the gut.. if the gut says no.. then its most likely best to not go for it.. Its the best natural radar we have..
Plus dont go into discussions when your frustrated

I intentionally avoided that thread, because I knew some of my friends disagree with me, (and vice versa.) BUT, here is the thing -- I also don't feel free to say what I think, because people will be hurt and will disagree. And, yet, I also think it's very important to understand how to really "hear God." And, as I stated before, many on here who claim to be Christian aren't, and yet they feel free to tell whatever they think as long as they think it's okay to say they hear from God.
When I was young, a friend of mine prayed to God to buy a car. He waited to "hear from God" before deciding which car to buy. God told him, "buy the blue car," so he did.
This friend was making minimum wage and wasn't the type of guy to go look for a job that paid more. (He was in his 20's and living with his mom then.) The blue car got 8 mpg. He honestly couldn't afford the gas, but God told him.
THIS is why I'd like to say something, but I'm still stuck with I don't want to hurt my friends. AND it would start an argument.
So, this isn't about this particular argument (other than we both understand the sides to the arguments.) It's about wisdom in God and the body unifying.
And, I suspect I am right about where you are -- frustrated that I fear joining in, and frustrated that it always comes down to personal opinion over God's opinion, but is that the best we can do as the body? What really is the other biblical choice? (If I knew, I'd be telling you instead of asking you. lol)
