I took my dog to a dog wash place today. I usually take her to this really nice one that has more stuff to keep her restrained, they were closed so I had to take her to this other place that is ok but they don't have very good restraints. So I have to lift her lard butt to get her in. I had to leave her collar on because their chain to restrain the dog doesn't have a collar to restrain the animal. So I put the money in and she jumps out of the tub, so again I put her in. I'm trying to see if there's any way to warm up the water she's drenched and jumps out of the tub, there's a Laundromat attached to the dog wash, someone was standing in front of the vending machine in the dog wash, she shakes herself everywhere and gets us wet. I put her back in the tub so I can rinse the soap off and she tries to jump again, I blew dry her and we got out the door and she pulls me over to the one muddy spot. I wanted to scream. I got her in the car and took my jerk dog home.

Aww Fenner.. Go spend some time with the cat. I'm pretty sure Lynx would approve of this advice.

ok

Thing 1: Super happy to see you here. :)

Thing 2: Some people don't get it and I'm sure that annoys you...I'd say sorry but I don't think you want a sorry...you just wanted to tell us.

Thing 3: I'm still being happy you're here. :) :)
I'm like a horse turd. Always in the road. I'm not all that easy to get rid of. I can hear the collective groan of some members because they had their hopes up that I was gone permanently, and I delight in the taste of their tears.

1. Thank you.
2. Thank you. Yep, just wanted to tell someone. I wish I could find a flesh-and-blood human being who understood me.
3. Thank you. Now knock it off before you make me blush. That would be bad.

Yaweh_is_Gracious: I hear you. What's really embarrassing is when the well-meaning matchmakers low-ball your age and try to match you up with kids. It doesn't happen any more since my hair began turning grey... and I never thought I'd say it, but THANK YOU LORD my hair started turning grey... but all through my 20s elderly ladies kept trying to match me up with 14-16 year old girls. I sure hated to break it to them I was almost old enough to be those girls' dad.

Fenner: Yeah my dog hates getting a bath too. I keep a hand on his collar and keep talking to him and he sits and suffers until it's over. He's an australian shepherd so I think he's smart enough to figure out the less he fights, the sooner it will be over. Or maybe he just knows he ain't going nowhere while I have a hand on his collar.

Why do I get such satisfaction out of your saying thank you to me...three times. Three... :).

...because you know that I have the character flaw of needing to appease women and gain their acceptance so I go over the top with my politeness?

No?

Oh, I probably shouldn't have admitted that online. Now everyone knows! OH NOES!!! LOL

Actually my fluffiest cat cat needs a bath but after today that's not going to happen. Stink on fluffy cat.

Wait, what? In my experience felines are self-cleaning. How does a cat need a bath? How does a cat stink? I've never had a stinky cat.

Well this kitty enjoys rolling around in discarded litter from the litter box, it's lovely. I call it a cold pebble massage.

Do you have any pix of your dog? Jennifer, isn't your dog Sophie also an Aussie? My daughter's dog is a mini tri red Aussie. She has personality to spare :D I won't tell you what she likes to eat out of the kitty litter box

This is a recent photo of her. She is about 18 pounds, a year and a half old :)

I save money by tying my dog to the luggage rack of my car and going through a car wash. The wax option leaves his coat real shiny.

Confession time:

I really, really dislike the term "Jesus juke". Just typing it, makes my skin crawl. I don't know why but something about it completely rubs me the wrong way.

I have heard that kitty litter is mostly composed of bentonite clay, and bentonite caly is used in some beauty skincare treatments.
..but discarded litter? Ewww, I can't imagine a cat doing that.

Your cat must be half dog..
Sometimes I wonder if our one cat is. She is super easy going and a big teddy bear, kind of clumsy for a cat, and always goes to the door and wants to be let outside to go do her business, and she enjoys going for walks with us sometimes when we are outside...none of our other cats are like this. lol. Other than that, she seems to be a normal cat.

I don't even know what it means. Should I look it up? I shall refrain haha. I have heard it before. It did not entice me enough to want to know what it meant, though :D It does sound vaguely disrespectful somehow...

My cat from a few years ago used to lay in the kitty litter box occasionally...
