I did say that I would forgive a child molester but I wouldn't let them in my house until there was repentance.

I was using that to show that some we need to stay away from interacting with those that refuse to change their behavior but that we could still forgive them of wrongs.

No harm done brother. Things can get messed up in these forums sometimes.
This is an interesting statement, no harm done brother.

I am glad I know my Lord and His word, and stand strong in the faith.
The intent of G7's analogies are always something else, and speak of what is in His heart.

How do people know the harm done unless they talk to the harmed party?
Or maybe the harmed party is of no concern, which is the true agenda.

2 Peter 1:10-11
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-7
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.

Peter who was there when God in a loud voice said
"This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." 2 Peter 1:17

It takes effort to follow the Lord, perseverance and none of these come with a single
focus. These things do not happen because one has sat back and let oneself be
zapped.

Our core is faith in the promises.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2 Peter 1:3-4

The problem in the world is not legalism but evil desires, which has created corruption in this world.

U gotta be kidding..... PJ is so low key in his statements you have to feel his wrist to see if he still has a pulse! ROFL!!
That's almost like trying to report someone that doesn't post!
Stephen, I have to say thank you. It is sometimes hard to wonder how nuts it gets when
people play the emotional card, to provoke a response.

The game played is not the argument but the person, with the hope if the person is removed
so is the argument. Sadly the social case in point in Islam, is it destroys whole societies.

Every alive groups needs discussion and debate and all position expressed so they can be
dismissed and the right way seen with clarity.

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT RIGHT DOING BUT RIGHT BEING

What do you think righteousness is about? Something you do or something you are? Right doing or right being?
The Bible tells us that after Jesus’ sacrifice at the cross, God imputes righteousness not to those who strive to obey the law (Galatians 2:16), but to anyone who believes in His Son. Because Christ took our sins and gave us His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21), the moment we believe in Him, God treats us as righteous apart from our works or obedience. (Romans 4:5–8) This is new covenant righteousness—a righteousness that comes by faith and not works.

You are not righteous because of how morally upright you are. You are not righteous because you exercise self-control. You are not righteous because you read 10 chapters of the Bible daily. You are not righteous because you feel righteous. But you are the very righteousness of God in Christ solely because the sacrifice of Jesus made you so. When you believe this, your faith is accounted for righteousness.
And this is what God wants you to use your faith for. If you are righteous by your deeds, you don’t need faith. You also don’t need faith to know that you are sinful. But you need faith to believe and declare that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, in the midst of your struggles with temptation and sin.

For example, when you feel lousy because you have just shouted at your wife, God wants you to exercise your faith to see yourself as still righteous in the midst of that failure. This living revelation that you are still righteous will give you the strength to love your wife and reconcile things with her.

The devil may remind you of your foul temper and question your integrity: “How dare you call yourself righteous when you just did that!” Just ignore his lies and boldly declare, “I am not righteous because of what I have done or not done. I am righteous only because of the blood and finished work of Jesus at the cross!”

Can you say something without rambling......?

Look...Paul said it best....Are you so foolish having begun in the spirit are you now made perfect by the flesh (works) WHO HATH BEWITCHED YOU....

Faith plus works = a false gospel with no power to save.....period!
You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless.
James 2:20

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
James 2:26

I understand my friends in the deepest truth I can comprehend, those who oppose
the basics of faith are not part of the faith.

It is not an argument, it is about spiritual realities. We have in all things a mixture
of convictions and positions. You may choose in the stream of life which speak to you
and which do not.

But His sheep hear His voice and respond accordingly.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Gal 6:9

Not to put too fine a point on it, I do not think you do all, as the last few interactions
prove. If you know what a KO is, you have just had one.
Dude, what is wrong with you? You think you KO'd me?

You asked two questions YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO. and you think that KO'd me?

Dude those are not the slanderous lies you have been saying since day one.. they are just two questions that EVERYONE knows the answer to.

You think because you pick 2 questions out that it makes you safe?

Stop with your crap. If you go on and do not slander anyone anymore you are safe, and have nothing to fear.

But you again someone believes something they do not. Then you know what will happen.

(ps, I left for the night, and because I left, You think you wonb, I think that about says it all right there

see, here is a big thing- this is not about emotional responses. no one should be posting anything just to try to get people upset- ( you do this all the time, and should not ).
we do not get to decide how we " feel " about God's word. like a few days ago when you decided that you did not like the idea of free gift, and tried ( and failed as usual ) to twist that, even the greek meaning.

If I might add..... It has been kicked around here for over a year. It's called hyper-grace.

Their ministers are Paul Ellis, Joseph Prince, & John Crowder, that's the ones I read about. I would advise anybody to look these guys up for their own satisfaction. Paul Ellis actually calls his teaching hyper-grace. Him & Prince go into details of what the doctrine is about.

HAPPY HUNTING!:)

I rest my case, Even his buddy understands this is not a thread about wanting to discuss the word of God, this is anther attack on Hypergrace.

The above example illustrates the failure of the theology.
We are called to love, to repent of sin, to change our hearts so that we are conformed
to the image of Christ.

Rather than repentance over sin being preached, changing ones approach, getting things
right, so behaviour changes, this is your behaviour will continue, it is the devil who is saying
you are not as you should be, so claim everything is ok, and that is walking in faith.
You are righteous, no matter if you are sinning which is blatently false and hypocracy.

Sadly this theology is also implying that I must be the enemy to even say this.
Not surprisingly this theology is the enemy of the gospel of righteousness and grace.

This is so non christian, you cannot get more obvious. Only people enslaved to sin and
with no hope of freedom would accept such an approach.

This is right theology because it is believing in what Jesus has already done for the Christian.,the believer in Jesus Christ. He/she IS a son forgiven and walking IN that forgiveness daily is how the believer defeats sin in their lives. If you have Jesus you are OK and believing that truth is pleasing to God and respects the Son's sacrifice on the believers behalf.

It is you Peter and those like you who cannot see this truth of grace because it most certainly is undeserved unearned unmerited. You cannot be good enough to be a Christian. It is Christ in us the 'sure' hope of glory that makes us good.

Sinning blatantly is not part of the walk of grace. Maybe it is for you but not for those who have begun to understand the grace of God that brings salvation that has appeared to all men....teaching them how to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts., how to live soberly righteously and Godly IN THIS PRESENT age. Right now., in the here and now.

You and others here like you have yet to understand this kind of grace and will fight it just like any religious person.

Thank you gb9 for reminding me about the gift of forgiveness of our sins. It reminds me of
association of words, like free, which can be miss-applied. Your faith is a free lift to heaven,
while I hold with a total metamorphosis through a walk with Christ after accepting faith.

And I try to encourage people to follow Christ and find delight in His ways.
To your mind I am twisting things, to mine I am expressing the glory of the gospel with have
in Christ.

If people get upset about me sharing Christ and His victory, this does not change my sharing
or the glory of the gospel. I am always amazed at a free gift of life could be a problem, but
then nothing surprises me after reading what you guys believe.

Hello Stephen63 long time no see. I purposefully used my usual type and jumped in at the usual hang out spots that you and others are used to seeing me on. I'm in the process of getting my old account and name back if possible as I closed it back in Oct. for personal reasons. Thanks for asking.

So I am trying to prove myself to God, am a religious person,

Sinning blatantly is not part of the walk of grace.

Now this is an interesting claim. JP in his example is about someone blatantly sinning.
It then follows how you deal with that. You say you are righteous and deny the obvious
sin you should repent of.

You cannot come up with a more brainwashed disfunctional analysis of not dealing with
inappropriate behaviour than this. And for me to point out the obvious flaws means I am
an evil grace rejecting religious person.

Please leave from the door you entered. When we sin and are aware of it, we need to repent
confess and accept forgiveness through the cross.

I wonder how long the average HG believer lasts? Alone, maybe 5 years. In a loving relationship,
6 months. 5 bouts in inappropriate behaviour with no resolution, out the door.

EG - Please answer the questions.
Do you say you are saved through faith in Christ and His cross?
Do you believe I am adding legalism to my salvation thereby having unbelief is Jesus's work?

Until you respond, I might be slandering you, else how am I to know what you believe.

You demanding?

Well here Peter. I will do what YOU REFUSE TO DO. and show at least I am honest.

1. I KNOW I am saved by GRACE (a word you forgot to use) throuogh FAITH in the work of the cross.
2. I KNOW you are adding legalism based on your LACK OF FAITH in the work of the cross.

And I have proof.

This is a key question. Did Christ do enough to save us?
No.

We have to
1. Repent of our sins
2. Believe on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins
3. Follow Jesus
4. Obey Jesus's commands
5. Dwell in Gods word
6. Walk in the Spirit, in communion with God
So there you have it, You do not think the cross is sufficient.

And oh by the way While I am at it, I can show another peace of SLANDER. From the SAME POST.

Some say Christ has done enough, and we need to do nothing but believe.
Thats wrong Peter. NO ONE SAYS THIS, at least no one I have ever met in CC or in real life.

They say you must HAVE FAITH, Mere Belief will NEVER save anyone, Even demons believe and tremble..

finally Peter.

1. I have been honest
2. I already said, Those were NOT the two points of slander you have been doiung for months now. so they were not even appropriate questions.
3. WIll now be honest and say you have not been listening to people. So you do not understand what they believe, even if you THINK you do?
