same as a Christian who doesn't sell all he owns, puts on a gunny sack and sleeps in a hole that he dug with a shovel that he borrowed.

I have nothing against it but think that it would be wise to consume in moderation and not to excess. Personally, I stopped drinking 25 years ago. I have also seen a lot of damage that it can cause.

I can not judge the world's use of alcohol, for it is the worlds way.
But as for my brothers and sisters, I wish we would all not drink.

I think I stand by the Bible on this issue. The Bible does not condemn moderate use of alcohol but does condemn drunkenness.

3 an hour. The beer I drink is probably twice as potent as your standard bud light or coors.

Man...there is some 8.0 and above craft beers out there that'll have you closing one eye in a hurry. I try to avoid those ones. I prefer the 5.0ish ones.

Nothing like an alcohol thread to get me outa the news forum. Was sick of that place anyway. I went to a pink floyd tribute band the other night at a local pub. I had a few...maybe more than a few.....at any rate...the pink floyd tribute band was better than pink floyd. Is it a sin for me to even say such a thing?!?!?!?!

I am sure it must be. David Gilmour would not be pleased. :(

You know it mentions wine in almost every book of the Bible... Alcohol consumed in large amounts to the state of being wild drunk I believe is wrong, being caught up in this situation is very dangerous just looking for some intelligent conversation about this issue

Acceptable but not beneficial. Ideally it'd best to avoid it, but nothing inherently wrong with moderation.

Good luck with that....I figured I'd just preempt any "intelligence" that wanders onto your thread.

My thoughts on alcohol:

I go through lots of alcohol whenever I need to disinfect a wound.

We should all remember to disinfect in moderation.

I used to be a heavy drinker, but God showed me how to overcome the habit and the underlining pain.
