Oh. So you want others to do a lot of reading while you do not
even read the responses people took the time to make to you?

Millions, maybe billions, of people are atheists. Talk to them. They will tell you that God is evil because God created Hell. Now here is where the shadow of Picasso becomes relevant. bear with me.

Charles Templeton was Billy Graham's evangelistic partner. Many believed he was a BETTER minister than Billy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Templeton
You can verify the facts if you care.

Templeton turned his back on Christianity. He became a leader in the athiest/ non-believer community. He represents them pretty well.

He said that he couldn't believe in a god that would create Hell.

Well, if Picasso "created" his shadow, then God can be held culpable for said shadow. Can God be held responsible for Hell, and there in lies the argument.

Genesis 1:1 says, "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." Does the Bible lie?

If you believe in a good God, and all He made is good, then go out and tell an atheist. Admittedly, many people dont have the IQ to understand higher concepts, but most atheists are pretty smart.
The word that was translated as good in the Bible is tuv. Now there is nothing wrong with translating it as good but you can also translate it as "functioning according to purpose". So God created everything and it was functioning according to purpose.

We are trying to explain the Bible by only reading English. We can't do it because if we do not understand the Hebrew and the Greek arguments like this will look like a viable outcome.

Well sac and Magenta. First Sac. I am running 12 threads in 4 forums, just havent been able to dig out the strongs yet. As i will. I hope, we will see...
Magenta. Its China that tips the balance over 2 billion. Any communist country promotes atheism, so 50% is not a bad guess, but who knows. With a pop of 4.7 billion, that eassily exceeds 2 bil.
First...maybe you shouldnt have started so many threads
Second...If your stand is that God did not create hell you should have known others were going debate you. You should have been ready to Biblically prove you point.

This is a Biblical argument, not a scietific one.

Question 1. (First of 16) Scripture tells us of a place that exists, but was not created by the creator. Keep this in mind, God created all things that were created! So, how can this be?
Also, John 1:3, 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
These questions are directed at the Christian scholarly community. So, if you're a scholar, or you know one, then have at it. Answers will, eventually, be provided. All questions, save one, will be answered on the same date. Until then, that date will remain secret. The clock is ticking, so hurry. Hopefully, before then, they'll be answered. Can you beat the clock? "Have a good 'un."
All will be answered save one. That one will stand as a challenge until it is answered.
This question, number one, is particularly relevant to Mr. Billy Graham.
As these questions will be presented to almost a half million people, I ask you to forgive me if I don't respond to every post from every person. If, and when a correct response is posted, I will, naturally, respond to that. Have fun.

I have a few things I'd like to seek your opinion on.
There are two things that God did not create, but existed prior to anything being created and that is coldness and darkness.

The problem with this is, you are assuming that hell is already created. It is not. Hell will be created in the end, it is a place that God WILL create in the FUTURE, where satan, demons, and all those who choose to follow and obey satan will be cast into. An eternal holding place for all of them, where they can never escape from. Hell is not yet created nor has it been created yet. But it will be created in the near future.

Well, thanks. Fishing, hmmmm. Didn't realize that. Let me try to be more careful from here on out. My purpose is to give you the benefit of a bit of research. Scholars have missed this for a few thousand years. I believe you will all be delighted by the answer. My goal is to nudge the church toward hearing God. The church would benefit if more of us listened to the Spirit...Booker T washington gave credit to God for all his discoveries, Booker discovered plastic, and that alone makes him a legend in the world of science..
I'd like to see if the scholars in college will accept this as a research topic. As a grad student, there are places to offer your findings. Unfortunately, we Christians dont have a publication devoted to presenting such findings. This is the best way to edify the whole church. It's not meant to be an attack or a negative thing.
i always read that plastic is toxic to the natural world. strange that BT Washington would say the Most High guided him in making plastic yet plastic fights against the creations of the Lord.
i was in the construction field for many years, bought, sold and installed vinyl (plastic) siding, windows, fences etc. i learned a great deal about these products, the chemicals they use, if they get into the ground, water tables, massive damage. its the last thing i would ever install on my home.

I don't base my theology on what makes atheists happy.

The scripture says atheists know there is a God...
they know there is a God and they reject him.

It doesn't matter if hell is made of leaping fires or cotton candy...
atheists want nothing to do with God.

Their decision to reject God is NOT a rational decision based on anyone's parsing of the theology of hell,
they simply choose sin over God.

Exactly!

Amen and amen and amen and amen and amen a thousand more times!

Matthew 25(KJV)

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

It says the Kingdom was prepared from the foundation of the world not Hell. Hell was a place prepared for the punishment of the devil and his angels

Exactly!

Scripture is clear that God is responsible for creating hell - we do not need to apologize for it either.

The fact that God created hell is a positive, not a negative statement.

As you know Jonteel i have directed you to Matthew 25:41 where God tells us in His Word that He "prepared" a place for satan and his demons. So if this is true (its Gods Word so it must be true) then He "prepared" which basically means He created hell. So again i will ask you...show me one passage in Scripture where God says that He did not create hell.

Exactly!

We need to begin with what the Word of God says, and not with science or atheists!

True indeed today's language we have a word for everything during earlier times especially Greek, Hewbrew, Aramaic, one word could have multible meanings depending on the context statement a person is making..

Beyond, I hope it's interesting. To begin, there are 4 pages of posts, and I didn't check them all. Sorry about that.
Oh, beware, I have been called a heretic for what you are about to read...

Let's start with this "God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all." (1 John 1:5)In Bible times, light was pretty harmless. Moses would not believe that light could cut metal. Today, we understand that light is a serious matter.

1 tim 6:16, Here we have the key. “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach .... Amen.”

In medieval times they couldn't understand this simple verse. Now we do.

Since science has moved on we know more about light. For instance, a lasers are used in most classes in school. Many students have seen how a laser can be passed through a crystal. The crystal isn't destroyed unless it is flawed with a dark spot...

Laser Types and Classification | Environmental Health and Safety | Oregon State University

God uses the natural world, to illuminate the supernatural world. Let's shed a little light. God seems to be a light on the order of a really powerful laser.. I'll allow you to examine the topic on your own time.

Now, where do we see a man that is able to be in God's presence and not be hurt? Adam is the answer. The sin thing comes around that time.

What do we know from Adam? Before he had sin, he was able to be with God. After sin, it's over. God doesn't enter the AO of Adam. So, logically we can make a leap...in is what man does not want to have. Not when God is around. Especially if you have no body to stop God's light.

Where can we go that God s not there? Well, scripture says that God is iin Hell. Psalm 139:8. Once we are dead, there's no where to hide.
a few thoughts.

1. There is no place to hide now (see Jonah)
2. God created hell for Satan and his angels. Mankind was not supposed to follow Satan there, but they rebelled also. So get what they deserve. However, God did not just leave it there, He sent his son to rescue us from that place of torment.
3. I do not believe in atheism. All people believe in A GOD, they just may not admit it.

I find it remarkable that there are always those to whom revealed truth is never enough, that the orthodoxy founded in Christianity by brilliant Spirit led theologians with vast knowledge is never enough, and yet someone comes along with something others simply 'never knew'. This always leads to error.

I've also found that the many who trod this fallacious path are typically not under any NT church authority. Sorry if any here think what I've stated is negative -- contending for the faith is a positive and needed endeavor; Jude 1:4; 2 Timothy 4:1-3.

Where exactly have you posted the name of the group you represent?

As well, why exactly did they send you here to CC to pose these questions to the members?

As well, what is their expectations/goals for "mining" this information collected (answers given by Members)

Basically, I believe you are acting on behalf of some group in an attempt to gather information concerning the beliefs of Christians, and/or their understanding of Scriptures to support this groups ideologies, and/or this groups view of believers within the Church today.

In any event, unless you are completely forthcoming about your/the groups intent, this exercise you have embarked upon IS NOT of God in my opinion.

I want the name of the group so I can do some research into who they actually are and what they actually teach/profess. Please provide me with this information.

Thank you

P_R, You may have missed the answer. It's a lot of reading, but it's been posted already.
