Just a different type of thread----in the early 70's I took basic English class at community college near Chicago (where the Belushi brothers took classes) ---well---instead of English 101---I got to take"film" for the credit----studied movies---made movies---still remember alot about Citizen Kane...
My first year of college I took human anatomy. The professor swore this was an advanced class, not for a freshman and tried his best to make me drop the class. What he didn't know was that my uncle owned a mortuary and another class mate worked there. He and I studied together 'at work' and got the top 2 grades in the class :)

****I took World Religions in 1973---when I got into Buddism----they taught all the major religions---wrote my paper on Buddism----got a good grade (I think)---prof. wrote on my paper---its a good way to live---but Christianity is a good way to die...

I logged into my school website area that has my transcripts and had a look to see all the courses I took from '97 when I first started taking college credits in the military up to the present. Aside from the Native American Studies, there wasn't anything else "weird" but there were a few that were...different...and to me, for what I was majoring in, totally worthless.

Accounting...got nothing out of it but an easy A
Microeconomics...a whole semester talking about the intersection of the supply and demand curves...whoopie
Geology...another class to skate through
Electronics...I can use Ohm's Law and not much else
Industrial Psychology...class had nothing to do with psychology at ALL..was an intro to Human Resources...BORING
