Jesus said if we endure to the end we will be saved. How can we be saved already, if we need to endure to be saved?

Because a misguided Christian could believe by some teaching that faith is good enough to be saved and no heart change, no repentance, just a confession because they don't like the sound of hell but people say all you got to do is believe and your good. But that would be true if it was genuine. But for misguided Christian they think they are being saved and do nothing to grow in Christ. So in your words they never was saved but they think they are. This is a stupid argument over scripture that's not hard to understand. Faith without works is dead. Why because it would indicate a false salvation or false/misguided believer
Then the person who misguided the person by that false hope of a salvation without true repentance and grace is at fault. and we need to correct the false assumptions. and get the person to see his true need of Christ, and that he needs to repent and have true genuin faith in the son of God who came to die for his sin, so he could be rescued.

I understand what your saying now.. I just disagree I think with the way we should handle it.

Those that are saved will endure to the end. I believe that this statement of Jesus was a lesson about perseverance.

Jesus, he is the vine, We are the branch.

We just allow Jesus to work through is.

otherwise, it is self righteousness.
or filthy rags (I believe a believer can do self righteous works, bu doing under their own power. and not trusting God to work through them.

So do you follow God out of fear or out of love?
With indescribable addicted love which makes me want to follow God, follow his words, tell people how amazing he is. He has saved my life and I couldn't just sit here knowing I'm saved without doing things for God. To show love toward others. I enjoy the works that God gives. I enjoy being active in the body of Christ to fight evil and love the hurt or fallen. What ever happen to reading God's word and not needing a freaking college education. God made it simple if it says faith without works is dead well that's what it means. If Jesus in his parable of the money borrowed says he threw the slave into the darkness for not being responsible for what his master gave him in the time he had, then Jesus ain't playing. And that's fine because I'm not playing my God is real and alive

But in order to know bad faith we must know what to compare it to
we only need to now this for our self. and to test our own faith.

we can not test the faith of anyone else we can not see their heart. Only God can.

Your wrong a person can deny Christ and lose salvation. If they have no faith in God that they once worshipped.

Not hardly.......If we believe not HE ABIDES FAITHFUL BECAUSE HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF......

Nice try...no ceeeegar.....and do tell....what does INCORRUPTABLE SEED mean exactly!

The context of that verse is found in the description of the great tribulation and is indicative of physical preservation......

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 2Timothy 2:3

matt 24 is speaking of the tribulation period. and saving ones physical life by enduring until he returns. Not eternal salvation.

2 tim has nothing to do with a erson being saved, it is spoken to people who are saved.

I am curious - I have been and am still trying to decipher the differences in views here (and of course then what is biblical).

I agree with the statements made above by EG, but I was also struck by an earlier line by FranC - "I wish works wasn't a dirty word." - I think I know what she means - it seems that whenever (I know it isn't always! :) )someone talks about works on CC they are accused of being legalistic, etc.

EG says above that "genuine faith will produce good works" - I agree with this completely - but I think it is not "automatic".

Here is what I mean: True Biblical faith will produce good works to some degree - maybe twenty-fold, or fifty-fold, or one-hundred fold. But to say that if a person is saved that then they will automatically do and keep doing good deeds just isn't so. Paul often spends half of his epistles in practical teaching on how to live. We need instruction and knowledge on how to live.

I think as you just showed. People will have differing amounts of works. Some many works, some few works.

the core understating though is that all will have works.. as apposed to a non believer, who may act and look like a christian doing christian works, produced no fruit, because he works were self righteous works, and not works of God.

When we get to the bema seat judgment, there will be baby christians, and super mature christians. What unites all of them is they were born of God, and they did some work.. Yet some we are told, will see all their reward burnt as wood hay and straw, yet still be saved, as through fire. (getting out of the house with nothing, but your life) Because they produce little fruit while on earth.

Are people closed to the love of Christ, or to obedience and walking in love?

he did not tell you that, He told people who were alive during the tribulation he spoke of in Matt 24

The only reason there is any disagreement among believers is because instead of looking at the Bible in it's entirety, we pick selected verses to defend our presuppositions and desires. Here's the gist of it. We are animals with immortal souls. Unlike the rest of creation fulfilling it's purpose, we have abandoned ours. Instead of using our intellect to serve the Creator, we use it to satisfy our flesh. If you look at the other animals, all of their actions serve a purpose, they only eat what they need, they only have sex to procreate, they don't waste time building elaborate living spaces for themselves. Humans have ignored their purpose to serve God the Creator, we serve our flesh seeking pleasure. We distort, pillage and destroy His creation following after our own lusts. Our "rebirth" is the symbolic death of the flesh. We choose to live for a purpose other than pleasure. Since our soul is in communication with Almighty, by following His direction we live a life for His purposes producing fruit for Him. Belief in Christ is the catalyst to redemption. Faith actually has power. Energy is everywhere and in many forms. Our bodies resonate at a different frequency based on our thoughts and emotions. When we resonate at a "Christian frequency" God can work through us. This frequency is what signifies us as His children. Our judgement will be determined by our frequency, not our ability to argue scripture.

Yah no problem I still not sure y'all get what I'm saying. But I just believe it does matter how we live after salvation. But I guess y'all say if salvation really occurred then everyone lives to try and follow God's words. But this still don't explain Christians that fall away or change religion. They was once all joyful fir God but somewhere in life changed. How is that being saved if they was to never have faith in God again.

I think your coming around to using the work word. Be careful it may get you stoned
