While you say that the USA is a "global empire", Trump's stated policy foundation is "America first" which does not appear to square with your analysis.
When Bush launched his war on Iraq an international boycott of American products took place which precipitated the Great Recession. While it is true that good international relations fosters much commerce and enhances Peace prospects, such endeavors cannot be dictated a la Pax Romana or unilaterally. It must be done with international mutuality. Thus far, in recent years European nations have suffered more acts of terrorism, yet they have not instituted a blanket exclusion policy against Middle Easterners. On the contrary, the governments have opened the door wider than has the USA.
In auditing the British speaker's comments, it appears that the British are more enraged over Trump's promotion of racial division than anything else. The problem can be solved overnight - all he needs to do is to dissolve or amend his order. This will bring about some measure of mutuality which benefits all concerns.

No,Im not talking about Muslim views. Im talking about the fact that ISIS has said they would infiltrate the refugees with their supporters. Try recent history btw. Sweden kicked out the refugees and Germany has sold out of mace because women are being assaulted and raped by refugees,so called. That is nothing like the Jewish situation. No one threatened to infiltrate the Jewish refugees. And this is a hold until people can be vetted,not the same as the Jews that were simply turned away. Again,not the same at all.

The New York Times admits that the judiciary overstepped it's constitutional authority and that trump is on solid constitutional ground.
“Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

Unfortunately for you, my life is invigorating, and in between educating little brats about reality, I'm in the trenches sharing God's love and grace. Thats what makes me a breath of fresh air, because I tell it like it is, and snowflakes simply don't know how to handle it.

In a 50-50 court the 9th Circuit ruling will stand. Trump's best action would be to resend the EO, and issue a new one with a different scope.

But please note that the conservative Republican Irving Kristol was one of the first critics of the plan to undertake this exclusion policy for precisely the same reasons stated by commentators in the NY Times, WaPo, and British Independent. Kristol is well known for being about as far to the right as can be. Thus, the position that I took on this matter is not without precedent and it is well supported by both the left and right.
