Donald Trump will not be allowed to address Parliament on UK state visit, Speaker John Bercow says

The U.S. is essentially a global empire,

if the U.K. doesn't want to talk to our president...

it's not exactly US who come out on the short end of that stick.

They're only hurting themselves.

Jew haters were saying all that and worse. Google ''nazi anti-jewish propaganda'' or similar titles for more information. I did not post a direct link as the reply contained many highly offensive so called facts.

While you say that the USA is a "global empire", Trump's stated policy foundation is "America first" which does not appear to square with your analysis.

When Bush launched his war on Iraq an international boycott of American products took place which precipitated the Great Recession. While it is true that good international relations fosters much commerce and enhances Peace prospects, such endeavors cannot be dictated a la Pax Romana or unilaterally. It must be done with international mutuality. Thus far, in recent years European nations have suffered more acts of terrorism, yet they have not instituted a blanket exclusion policy against Middle Easterners. On the contrary, the governments have opened the door wider than has the USA.

In auditing the British speaker's comments, it appears that the British are more enraged over Trump's promotion of racial division than anything else. The problem can be solved overnight - all he needs to do is to dissolve or amend his order. This will bring about some measure of mutuality which benefits all concerns.

Trump-Supporting Christian Family Gets Deported; Bailed Out by Liberals

Syrian-American Sarmad Assali was a Trump supporter. Her family is Orthodox Christian, so they must have felt pretty safe from any potential Trump Muslim ban. Then last weekend happened. Suddenly, this Pennsylvania family was desperately trying to reach their US visa-carrying relatives after they had learned they were detained at the airport and forced back to the Middle East. Sarmand Assali's anger is vivid on this newscast where she kept saying "This is not human. It's just not human!"

These people can now thank liberals for their freedom.

A study of history would dispel such notions:

Donald Trump’s refugee policy is compared to the Nazi persecution of Anne Frank | The Independent

“Jews were viewed as harbingers of dangerous ideologies, particularly communism and anarchism. “There were pronounced fears that fifth columnists and spies would infiltrate the country through the tide of refugees fleeing fascist Europe.”

Precisely the same claims were made about Jews back then as are being made about Muslims today.

No,Im not talking about Muslim views. Im talking about the fact that ISIS has said they would infiltrate the refugees with their supporters. Try recent history btw. Sweden kicked out the refugees and Germany has sold out of mace because women are being assaulted and raped by refugees,so called. That is nothing like the Jewish situation. No one threatened to infiltrate the Jewish refugees. And this is a hold until people can be vetted, not the same as the Jews that were simply turned away. Again, not the same at all.

The wall in your kitchen has more common sense then PN. At least it knows what it's supposed to be, and supports the definition of that.

Nor am I talking about Muslims views. Had you trouble yourself to read the link you would have read this:

Books have been written on the subject that can give more details about how Nazis created fifth columnist groups in the USA during the 1930s. One way was by supposedly infiltrating these refugee groups as my original link shows. A movie was made called ''The House on 92d Street" about Nazi fifth columnists during that time period.

Supreme Court Nominee Calls Trump’s Attacks on Judiciary ‘Demoralizing’

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/08/us/politics/donald-trump-immigration-ban.html

''Judge Neil M. Gorsuch, President Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, privately expressed dismay on Wednesday over Mr. Trump’s increasingly aggressive attacks on the judiciary, calling the president’s criticism of independent judges “demoralizing” and “disheartening.”The remarks by Judge Gorsuch, chosen by Mr. Trump last week to serve on the nation’s highest court, came as the president lashed out at the federal appellate judges who are considering a challenge to his executive order banning travel from seven predominantly Muslim countries. The president called their judicial proceedings “disgraceful” and described the courts as “so political.”
Those remarks followed Mr. Trump’s weekend Twitter outburst in which he derided a Seattle circuit court judge who blocked his travel ban as a “so-called judge” whose “ridiculous” ruling would be overturned.
Judge Gorsuch expressed his disappointment with Mr. Trump’s comments about the judiciary in a private conversation with Senator Richard Blumenthal, Democrat of Connecticut, as he paid courtesy calls on Capitol Hill to build support for his confirmation. An account of the discussion was confirmed by a White House adviser working to advance the Gorsuch confirmation, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment.''

more at link ...

Even Trump's own nominee is dismayed by his words and attacks.

The New York Times admits that the judiciary overstepped it's constitutional authority and that trump is on solid constitutional ground.

“Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

I am sorry, do you want some congratulations for a degree you don’t have? Or, maybe some sort of participation/consolation certificate?

The only one being self righteous is you by plugging in the fact you have a “ministry”.

Lots of people do – and in fact many of them have completed their education, gotten their degrees and at the same time have gone on to have extremely fruitful ministries for God.

The only thing you seem to do is post a lot on the internet about political trifle.

The sad thing is – that’s actually all you have to look forward to in life. :(

PS - I don’t have anything more to discuss – I have a really busy schedule.
Ahhh, more edification from a snot nosed brat. The difference between you and me is that you wish my life was empty and meaningless while I keep you lifted in prayers of blessings. That's the difference between having Christ and not having Christ.

Unfortunately for you, my life is invigorating, and in between educating little brats about reality, I'm in the trenches sharing God's love and grace. Thats what makes me a breath of fresh air, because I tell it like it is, and snowflakes simply don't know how to handle it.

Which leads me to the this, you don't get to dictate conversations. Your cowardly acts of hit and run don't work here. You don't get too spew your filth then say you're outta here, end of conversation. That's not how the game is played, but you get an C+ for effort.

Yeah, the law is pretty clear on this; it's pretty much impossible to misinterpret.

And if the New York Times is siding with Trump... then the left is completely out of arguments.

Appeals Court refuses to reinstate Trump's ban...............so, I guess it is on to the Supreme Court?

Don't know why anyone would be surprised though.......after all, it is the 9th Circuit Court, the most liberal and most overturned Court in the Nation........

In a 50-50 court the 9th Circuit ruling will stand. Trump's best action would be to resend the EO, and issue a new one with a different scope.

I can certainly understand your caution.

But please note that the conservative Republican Irving Kristol was one of the first critics of the plan to undertake this exclusion policy for precisely the same reasons stated by commentators in the NY Times, WaPo, and British Independent. Kristol is well known for being about as far to the right as can be. Thus, the position that I took on this matter is not without precedent and it is well supported by both the left and right.
