Isn't a parody song where you're just making fun of other people?

Do you really think that's a Christian thing to do?

That probably makes the angels cry.

My current favorite is perhaps a bit too "adult" for general CC consumption. Rodney Carrington.

poking fun at famous persons is okay.

Some say imitation is the greatest form of flattery. I remember when Weird Al did Eat it and I'm Fat, Michael Jackson was a good sport about it and even let him use the exact same video sets. And the people he parodies probably get a share of the royalties

Weird Al is actually very talented. White and nerdy is my favorite one I think. Not only is he good at paradies but he also writes his own music

Tim Hawkins does really good "Christian" type humor.... very funny stuff about raising hands in worship.. his ChikFilA song is worth the price of admission.... sung to the tune of the Beatles "Yesterday".....

Jim Stafford was very good... Swamp Witch is one of my all time favorites... the lyrics in that are very well done. Cow Patty is pretty funny, too. "on a moped she called Flame"..... Wildwood Weed is just classic.

Ray Stevens has had many songs that are classics.... Mississippi Squirrel Revival is very good....Shriner's Convention, all the early ones like Ahab the Arab, and Bridget the Midget.....

This poll didn't include Roger Miller...... he had lots of good ones, too.

Listen to this one and try and it's bad to make fun of people.

(I was that kid. lol)

Words Weird Al used to rhyme with 'Eat it'

If it's getting; cold reheat it...
Get yourself an egg and beat it...
Don't you make me repeat it...

Guy's talents are off the chains...

Have a banana, have a whole bunch, it doesn't matter what you had for lunch...

Just eat it. LOL. Gotta love the weirdness of Al :D

I don't think I could pick a fave. Some you mention I don't recognize

Here is a funny one by Tim :)

No parody singer here. Some lines just repeat and repeat in my head, something like this when sleepy whether the weather is cool and windy, or too hot:

I feel Sleepy
Oh so Sleepy
I'm conceding I'm needing a bed
But they say
Always give your
BEST Sleepy head!
