Even genuine manifestations of God does not validate some pastors teachings. Especially if afterwards they live lives seeking riches and glory and not walking humbling with God.
Jesus says there will be some who say "Lord, Lord did I not cast out demons in your name" but He will answer "i never knew you, depart from me workers of iniquity"
So in pray and study of scriptures we should follow God, not men or accept church doctrines without first testing them.
If then speaking in tongues is the measure to be filled with the spirit. What then about the cults and sects which speaking in tongues?
It is not very hopeful to know that only a small group in germany was filled with the spirit. Btw where it is written that spirit filled people have to speak in tongues? That means on the otherside who can't speak in tongues is not spirit filled. Right?
Yeah......we will see Z...too be honest.....I am not worried about it.......the only church that had issues with this had some 15 errors, was immature in the faith and missed the mark on numerous truths........
My statement was good......and only Charismatics (for the most part) would disagree and pass judgment on my statement....just saying....
When we are called up to be with Christ, our works will be tested by fire. ALL of them.
But I'll give you this... those who spoke in tongues incorrectly will be judged harsher than those who didn't speak at all. That's part of the lesson of 1 Cor 14 - do it right or don't do it at all.
And those who ascribe a genuine work of the Holy Spirit to satan.. don't even want to think what's going to happen to them.

Read this carefully PLEASE. For a person to attribute to Satan a manifestation that is clearly described in the NT as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit is in jeopardy of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. For a person to attribute to God a manifestation that is not clearly described in the NT as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit is in jeopardy of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. BOTH are equally true.
No actually....blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is to ATTRIBUTE the WORK OF CHRIST to the POWER of the DEVIL...end of story!
****speaking in tongues is only part of being filled with the Spirit----there is a counterfeit for all the works of God----Pharaoh had his magician/sorcecers-----God had Moses----------there way Bar-Jesus---there was Paul and Silas----tongues is a tool---prophecy is a tool----healing is a tool----use these tool to Glorify God---but focus on producing fruit (a Holy Life)...
Paul tells us exactly what it means to be filled with the Spirit in Ephesians....
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
This is written in a verb tense which sets forth a continual mode of action (be continually filled with the Spirit) everything highlighted are the clauses which set forth one who is filled with the Spirit.....
I have mentioned this before. I do not say that everyone who is filled with the Spirit necessarily speaks in tongues. Speaking in tongues could be counterfeited just like prophecy could be.
About tongues, how do you tell the difference between one who is faking it and the real thing? In the Pentecostal meetings I was in you were told to accept all tongues as if it was from the Lord. I believe now that the greater part of folks were not speaking in a real tongue given by God.
Jesus makes it plain, to talk against Jesus and God will be forgiven, but to talk against
a work that is clearly of God as not but the enemy is a sin that will not be forgiven.

The issue is that they were accusing the Holy Spirit, apparently, of being Beelzebub. They claimed the Spirit behind Jesus' casting out devils was the prince of devils. The Holy Spirit was really the Spirit behind it.

IMO, that's a sloppy explanation. Paul tells the Ephesians what to do when filled with the Spirit.
Zecharias was filled with the Spirit and prophesied. The disciples in Acts 2 spoke in tongues.
This could lead you into all kinds of error. I can't find any specific examples of praying for food for a house full of orphans and someone leaving food on the doorstep in the Bible. Was George Muller in the wrong.
Where does the Bible teach this rule of yours? I find your approach very dangerous.

I'm not enthusiastic about 'gold dust' appearing. I can't find any examples of it in the Bible. But can I say that gold dust couldn't appear as some kind of miracle? No. I have no basis in scripture to condemn it. I am much more interested in 'Biblical miracles.' But I do not want to invent some hermeneutic and use that as a basis for condemning something like this.

Folks, if attributing a work of Christ to the work of the Devil is blaspheme(and it is) then what is calling a work of the Devil, a work of God? They are two sides of the same coin...in both cases you are replacing God with the Devil. In one case a work of God is being called a work of the Devil, in the other place a work of the Devil is being called a work of God. How can anyone rant and rave about someone calling a manifestation the work of the Devil if they cannot find chapter and verse in the NT that describes such a manifestation as of God?
You are mixing apples with cars. Different things, I can easily find scripture to back up your story of Muller. I cannot find scripture that would tell me to get down on all fours and crawl around the church barking like a dog...discernment friend, I am speaking of discernment. When a person begins to call certain physical manifestations the work of the Spirit when there is no example in the bible then they better back off.

If someone attributes the power of the Holy Spirit to Satan or demons or if someone attributes the power of Satan/demons to the Holy Spirit by accident or out of ignorance, will they be forgiven? Or does it not matter whether it's done on purpose or not?
