I don't connect what I eat with my position in Christ.
Romans calls those who eat only vegetables as "weak" spiritually to those able to eat meat.
Also it says to eat what is placed before you when you visit others houses, if given with hospitality with thanksgiving.
Paul ate meat.
Jesus are fish after being resurrected.
Therefore what goes into our bodies does not condemn our spiritual state.
It does affect these mortal bodies, but I believe it a blessing if we are able to choose what we can and can't eat.
Some must eat what is available to them. Example would be the homeless or poor who can't buy their own foods. Or the sick who dont have loved ones who will respect their diet.
