ps-- this is all of the thread i've read, so forgive me if you already did.
****there are enough warnings in the Bible about losing our way------better to not have been born than to have known the way of righteousness and to depart from it (2 Peter 2:21)-----I understand you viewpoint but count it dangerous since if you are wrong many that have taken refuge in this teaching are lost-----either because they did depart from Christ----or because they never were saved and assumed they were---think about it----they don't find out until when---the day they die----oh, I wasn't really saved---then the Lord says---you only thought you were saved---but I heard Once Saved Always Saved and had faith in this teaching---the Lord says you should have had faith that produced works---this is the proof---but I was told works was wrong---they are the Lord will say if you try to earn your salvation, but true faith produces works...

Imagine if the apostles took this approach.
Jesus, Paul, Peter all went to the synagogues and argued and presented from scripture
the position that God took.
And flinging out terrible accusations about foolish and demonically inspired teaching is
such hypocracy. This is just brainwashing and bias with no real honesty.
Surprising how aggressive and insidious the approach that is being taken.
A believer is happy to come in, judge another, accuse them of following demons
and then not defend such an accusation.
What Jesus did was show how people ignored Gods law and lived hypocritical lives,
while they were claiming they were the chosen. But what we have here is a group who say yes
we do sin, I get angry, I say wrong things and live a selfish life, but I am human,
God does not expect anything else from me, and this demonstrates my need of Him.
But in reality this demonstrates rebellion and not following after Christ, and a classic
example of no shame or repentance. We are called to live the sermon on the mount not
mock it as an impossible standard. But this is what these hypocrites do, rather than deny
their hypocracy which they did as legalists, it is spiritual freedom to say being like the world
shows Gods great love for us, and to deny this is heresy and trampling on Christ.
They can get away with this because their "sins" and wealth flatter there life, and they have no
fear or dependency on God, so nothing is really at stake.

It must have been a good one if you remember it.
I've been in so many of these I'm not sure which is which anymore.
The Bible teaches over and over again "whosoever may come"----it is not a limited atonement---there is not predestination with some elected for salvation and some elected for damnation---this is a wrong teaching and misrepresents the very heart of God who cries out for souls to "choose" life-----predestination and election are in no way a block to our free will----whosoever---whosoever----whosoever----God knows our future, but in no way does this interfere with our free choice---the decision is ours----God has already made His decision----come come come---"whosoever may come"...
Ezekiel 36:27-28

Whenever a person tries to live by "their" righteousness they have fallen from grace. Christ alone is our righteousness and it is an everlasting righteousness.
Here is Daniel prophecying of Christ making atonement and bringing in everlasting righteousness.
Daniel 9:24 (NASB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.
Our righteousness is of Him now - not our own. No tongue that tries to rise up in judgment to condemn you and say that you will lose salvation in Christ will prosper.
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
In order to lose righteousness and salvation which is in Christ only - we have to make Jesus a liar. He said that the Holy Spirit will be with us forever. John 14:16
If people can change their belief from their heart ( not their un-renewed messed up minds ) that made them a new creation in Christ - then Paul and James and John and all saints that are in heaven now - they can "change their belief" and choose to not believe in Christ anymore. The whole idea is a man-made demonically inspired doctrine.
This false doctrine violates the whole "why" of the gospel in the first place.
We can get screwed up in our thinking and there are warnings to living after the flesh while on this earth but none of this touches the new creation in Christ - created in righteousness and holiness. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. Eph. 1:13 & Eph 4:30.

exactly what I said.....they killed some 60 to 80 million believers during the dark ages who refused to confess in the ears of a priest once a year or take ""HOLY COMMUNION" or because we believed in immersion.....

Exodus1 was making a point with his scripture.
Yours makes no point pertinent to this thread.
This is where the miss reading of scripture is at its core. We are commanded to live by
love. Obeying is just that, obeying. To create a divide between ones righteousness
and Christs righteousness is where the error is. Our righteousness is the work of the Holy
Spirit in our lives, so all the glory goes to Him.
So here we have the accusation of sin, to walk righteously or to desire righteousness
is now rebellion against Christ and working against grace. This is the opposite of Pauls
teaching, we are slaves to righteousness.
This is no kids argument, or something without teeth. It is a serious error being preached
with bad fruit, the fruit of slander and rebellion, denying people to claim the truth of the
effects of the cross in their lives.
