You are trying to use an appeal to natural process to explain a completely non natural event. It will never work. It is like trying to explain any other miracle by appealing to the scientific method. I am afraid that any appeal to observable regularities to explain the flood in going to avail you nothing.

Over here in the uk wheve had none stop terrential rain for almost a week now..

are grounds are saturated i mean stand on the ground and your shoes are sinking in to the ground..

That alot of ground water that will come out some where right..

The reality is it was gravitational pull that caused this hence my theory for the moon caused are flood,, (but god made it happen its just not in scripture for some reason..

maybe God didnt want us having this knowledge seeing as he put a ban on us not knowing all knowledge,,(only that got broke..)

Just my honest theory based upon some honest facts,:) the truth is my head is a wealt of facts waiting to multipliply in to a master mind or an explosion.. master mind eat ya heart out lol

Correct me if im wrong but didnt you use science as a method bt saying water will always try to find its level ? (thats scientific term in a bundence if ever i herd one..)

question is how ?

Your answer is the fountains opened..

Yeah but how..

Your answer God made it happen ?

question is how...

MAYBE YOUR NSWER WOULD BE ONE OF MANY...oops

erm God spoke it into action..

All I tried to show you was that God did not alter physics in order to bring about the flood. What you are doing is trying to explain a process of causation. There were no natural antecedents to the flood. The only antecedent was the will and power of God. No other factors were relevant or causal.

You told me that he made the earth stand still earlier,, isnt that physics lol

Yes, but he does not say that this was what he did in the flood. In Gen 7 he tells us precisely what he did.

If he was going to tell us precisely how he did everything he would have told us to go and eat from the trea of Knowledge........

Ok since the moon has gravitational pull on our waters and our plannet rotates.. how can our waters find there level when the gravitation pull is constantly pulling water vapor into the air ?
It isn't gravity that is pulling water vapor into the air, gravity is the force that pushes object towards the earth, not vice versa

The Tower of Babel event is believed to have occurred during the days of Peleg “for in his days was the earth divided;” This would have been about 150-180 years after the flood. This was probably about the same time in which Job lived. The division here was not a division of continents. This was something that would have happened during the flood. The division was one of language. This divided man into what would soon become ethnic classes.
Yeah that makes complete sense....the LANGUAGES were divided in the days of EARTHQUAKE (PELEG)........

Still looking for a verse that states the continents were divided in the flood....even though the bible states the EARTH was divided in the days of PELEG.....and says nothing of languages being divided in the days of PELEG........when was the TOWER of BABEL....that is when the languages were meted out and humanity was divided.....!

Well, I would not altogether discount the possibility of it but, the simple mention of an earthquake does not necessitate the division of the landmasses. This is nothing but conjecture. We do know that Peleg was born very near the time of the tower of Babbal and the division of the languages.

Bro....your statement is about 100% more conjecture than my comment......in the very minimum my statement comes closer to being right because the verbiage seems to HINT at the possibility migo ;) HAH

I know we disagree on some things and agree on some things.....at the end of the day I do appreciate your peaceful approach....

We all know this story of the old testiment. How God flooded the world, and the only people saved where two of each species of animals and Noah and his family.
After doing a little research, i discovered somthing disturbing.
We know of the other ancient civilizations of that time. And there have been written records kept and written during that time that the flood was supposed to happen. And none of them mentioned being drowned by water or anything regarding a flood.
By this, people conclude that the flood never happened.

Now, lol, Im not saying that I beleive this but I want to know what you all think.

Oh and please dont get too heated. The threads next door can hear ya you know :)
What are your sources for these written records?
