Well I did say that I would stop engaging you because you are a lost cause, but I'm a sucker for defending myself from unjust claims.

If you increased the font for my entire sentence, instead of selecting less than half of it, you would see I stated that the circle may or may not sit inside of a square or a rectangle. I use the language may or may not because I refuse to claim to know what relationship the circle has with the square/rectangle.

I am glad you are starting to take The Bible literally and dismiss science with it, if only we could get you to aim that discernment at your currently accepted beliefs.:)

Where do I get the circle from if your verse states four corners?

Here

Isaiah 40:22 King James Bible
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

I believe both Verses literally, but I am unable to completely understand the relationship between the two at the moment.
There is literally and then there is figuratively. At times it may be confusing on what approach to take when trying to interpret scripture. I'll say this for you and that is that you strongly believe in the bible as the Word of God.

E=mc2 isn't in the Bible. Is that a man made construct as well? Or is it legit science not found in scripture?
Lol yes, that is a man made construct.

So we have had a lot of mockery and slander and doctrines of dead men all of which are total vanity.

So we have had three Bible citations, one about God making the earth on the first day, the sun, moon, and stars on the 4th day. One citation about how God cloaked the lilies in grandeur. One about the shape of the earth that it is a circle.

So how about some verses from the Bible on whether the earth moves or does not move?

Still waiting on that one. Be honest now. You don't have to believe the Bible, I'm not forcing you to believe in God. I just think God is probably right and man is probably wrong, so it makes for better wisdom in my judgement to consult the Bible.

Yes that is exactly what I am saying.

Now since I have answered two of your questions straightly which pertain not to the topic you can answer my one question straightly.

What does the Bible say about the earth moving or not moving?

Be honest.

K. Now you have to prove that it is false. It is established accepted science. Prove your assertion. It isn't just cuz you say it isn't.

You asked, so I answered, it's as simple as that. I can answer you further on this unrelated topic, but I think you should indulge me and answer my question first which pertains to the topic at hand.

What does the Bible say about the earth whether it moves or not?

Be honest now and answer straightly. No more crooked deflection please.

That strong belief is a large part of my Faith in God and is the foundation for my relationship with him. And it is very very comforting to know that even in the End Times, he gave us his unbroken Word, and it becomes easier to see how the Loving Jesus Christ and Our Father are the same person. Neither of them ever told a lie and they are both always there for us.

I believe that we are either in the end times or rapidly approaching the end times. I'm glad to know that you have a strong belief and faith in God that is the foundation of your relationship with Him. This is a good report.:)

Now how about that earth? Does the Bible say it spins or does the Bible say it is established that it does not move?

Be honest now.

does this mean that all good people are stationary?

now that it is "established" that "established" and "moved" are used figuratively in the scripture . .

Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

(Job 37:11-12)

notice that there are two different Hebrew words here, one rendered "
world" and one rendered "earth"

Oh come on Sirk, they take it very seriously...

I have wondered if the earth is a disk, what stops it starting to spin and fling us sideways?
Might get a little awkward getting thrown across a room, and possibly fall off the edge of the
world.

And what causes the tides, because it for some strange reason appears to be linked to
where the moon is in the sky. It must be very big to have such a large effect... lol
Tides and the link to the moon.
Well, with the still earth theory everything outside the earth is spinning and pushing onto the earth (Gravity). Think of the earth and the seas. Think that if all in space pushes onto the earth, the moon passing will interrupt this force, hence the high tides when the moon is closest to the earth.
Also, consider everything round the earth spinning at high speed. Now think of the outer parts. Scientists have said how the universe is growing. Now the outer parts will just be continually being flung outwards. Consider 1000 mph difference between the earth and the first parts of space, the further out from the earth, the faster it is moving, so if some is being flung outwards, it is massively accelerating outwards, hence why science talks in light years, but in reality it would only take a few thousand years for the stars to fly out so far away.
We know before God created there was nothing. Just God alone. So the stars and other things are flying out into nothing to be something.
While if what I said is right or wrong (As is all a theory that I can't prove any more then scientists can with their theories (As only God Himself knows the answers!)), it it certainly huge and our minds can but hope to understand Gods awe inspiring creation!

Yea, the righteous shall not be moved for ever by the wicked indeed. May the wicked liars and crooked ones gnash their teeth and melt away!

I like that whole Psalm. It is very fitting for this situation even though it's not about the earth moving or not moving. So I guess under that inspiration I have to ask again.

What does the Bible say about the earth moving or not moving?

Answer straightly now and be honest. If you don't know or haven't read the Bible that's okay too, you can just say so.

I don't think it's established that the scriptures don't mean what they say. I mean you can try to twist the scriptures to your own undoing if you want, but that's not how they're written.

Lol well what do you know, even in English there are two different words for world and earth, one is "world", and one is "earth." Lol use either, use both. See how many we can find. Go for it, but be honest and say what the Bible says whether the Earth spins or does not move.

Ain't no "gotcha verses" in the Bible. For that matter none of you have even given straight or truthful answer yet.

is English your first language?

when the scripture says the Lord will judge the world, it does not mean He will come to judge earth, the planet. He will judge the systems set in place, the hierarchies, the people who live on the earth, and their deeds, mores and miens.

these words mean very different things.

nothing.

it mentions the world being established, and uses exactly the same figurative sentence structure and in fact exactly the same words as this verse that i pointed out to you. so if you can take one verse, using exactly the same words in exactly the same arrangement, to make a claim, you are inconsistent if you do not take the same grammar & words to mean the same thing in another place.

ergo the universe revolves around every righteous man's foot - because the Lord firmly establishes it, and it cannot be moved.

They only mean different things to you, because you have adopted the belief that Earth is an object similar to Mercury, Venus, Mars etc. You did not learn this from The Bible.

To someone who lives in the location described in The Bible, the words are synonymous.

Yea English is my first language.

Pretty sure the Lord will judge all the world and destroy it and all the works therein by fire.

So, with that out of the way.

Answer straightly.

You can think the Bible doesn't mean what it says, I can't make you believe the Bible.

Nevertheless, what does the Bible say about the earth; whether it spins or not?

tell me about how the earth - planet, frisbee, ritz cracker, torus, klein bottle, whatever - is going to be judged for its sins.

what has the earth itself done that deserves judgement?

yet the scripture says the world will be judged.

nothing. all your proof texts use the word, "world" -- not one uses "earth"

and none of them are substantive enough to make an argument about geometry and relative motion.

it's not as if you've come here with anything new to inform us of, you know.
