I find the tone of discussion sinful,. Surely this is speaking the truth but does it come from a heart of love? Be blessed precious brothers. Let your iron sharpen iron not slaughter one another.

Um, a concordance isn't a dictionary, per se. Well, it is, but it explains every word in the Bible from the word used to how we'd say it in English.
How about Hebrew 1:1 defining it?
how about defining truth...

Actually, not synonyms, although, granted, used as if they are. Born again is "regenerated." It is a specific point of salvation, happens almost instantly, but not quite the same thing. A whole bunch of things happen so quickly it feels like it's all the same thing, but if it were, then God's word would call it the same thing.

Called, regenerated, faith, repent, justified, adopted, all parts of salvation that seem to happen in a moment, but not the all of salvation. Sanctified and glorified are also parts of salvation.
Point being made was both describe a child of God who has trusted into Jesus....both are used as such....

Off topic/random curiosity:
Which part of the States are you from, DC? "Chunked" isn't a regionalism I recognize. I like it, but I've only heard you use that word, so I'm curious what part of the states you're from? (I'm more used to chucking, in lieu of chunking. lol)
Born in New Mexico to age 3...raised in Missouri....

That is not really accurate I knew where I stepped in.
My point was that no one who acts with argumentive spirit do any good. Bible tells us not to take part in foolish arguments.
Hence my question.. I was hoping someone might remember and stop.
Any case as this argument will have nothing productive but insults counter insults ungodly behaviour and all sorts of sinfull acts
dusting my feet and disappearing in distance :) .
See....point made....My English buddy and I go back and forth all the time....so......when IRON is sharping IRON you get sparks......so....don't be so easily offended.......and how about add something to the thread....!

We have had a few threads lately that reject the fact that as a believer we occasionally fail and sin....The bible speaks to this...the only ones who reject this for the most part are those who

a. Believe they can lose salvation
b. Believe they must do good to keep it
c. Believe they must blend faith, works and be sinless after salvation

The following verses prove that even the most righteous men of the bible failed and sinned or had sin.....those who deny this...are missing the mark....

Daniel was a righteous saved child of God....anyone doubt that? NO
John was a righteous mas whom Jesus loved and an apostle...anyone doubt that? NO
Paul was a righteous man who was saved and wrote almost half the N.T...anyone doubt that? NO

Notice their view under inspiration.

For those who say the saved don't sin......or won't sin.......or are without sin......!

DANIEL
Now while I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God in behalf of the holy mountain of my God,

And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

JOHN
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

PAUL
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

The only man who was sinless 100% was Jesus...even the most faithful men and women of the bible failed and had sin that they struggled with....the above re all present tense...NOT PAST TENSE......!

For those who say that we advocate a wicked sinful lifestyle because we acknowledge these scriptures.....this is false, misleading and border line lying.........!
asking under the law if your a sinner or asking what have you been saved from.

for example.
compare these two verses,

15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant Hebrews 9

Romans 8: Life in the Spirit
1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death Romans 8: Life in the Spirit

if your are still looking sin, then , who s fault is that , given you can read, and have free will.

Justified by Faith
15 We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners;16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. Galatians 2

if your not justified by works of law, what justifies you ?

3 I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace Galatians 5

and if your severed . why were you severed ?

Do you understand the thread and why I posted it? It is aimed at all who claim to be sinless.....ONLY one was sinless...JESUS.......

a. This is not to say we have free license to sin
b. Not that we have an issue with sin
c. Not that we love to sin
d. Not that is it ok to sin
e. Not that we are not supposed to repent of sin or confess sin

The point is....even after salvation ALL will fail, stumble, and sin in some form or fashion at one time or another as there are NONE WITHOUT SIN and to claim to be without sin after believing and being saved places one into he grouping that John identified as

a. BEING deceived
b. No truth in them

the problem is DC is they can't get it thru their heads that you aren't advocating for free wheeling sin. Lol. They like to keep the false narrative going that you're just saying to rest on your laurels so to speak. Live it up man...Jesus has you covered! Lol. Why would they like to paint a false picture like that? Seems like they are breaking that one commandment about bearing false witness against you.

It is like they cannot understand what the point is.....like they cannot see the forest because of the trees....maybe just dense as lead I guess........they also post like I am justifying sin in my own life or something......the point goes above their head!

Actually, although I disagree with Ben about Daniel not being saved, Ben really did say he does sin. Hates it, but he does.
I didn't say Daniel wasn't saved. I don't understand how you guys got that from what I shared, lol. :p If he was looking forward to the Messiah, and died, doesn't that mean he was in Abraham's Bosom? He had faith. The Lord was/is his God. Daniel is saved, in my understanding of scripture.

I like peanuts but I don't like peanut butter.

Actually, I would think that's weirder, except I love chocolate, except chocolate mousse, chocolate pudding, and chocolate ice cream. (Also, I like chocolate milk.)

That is so odd....I know a few people like that....or a few that like the smell of coffee, but they do not like coffee
I'm one of them. There is a deep down bitter taste in coffee I don't like. (That, and I hate drinking anything hot. Drinking is supposed to be refreshing, so cold.) But I do like coffee ice cream. That bitterness isn't in it.
